We are so proud of everyone involved in this - our amazing incredible staff, our volunteer management committee, our parents and of course our children!

Yesterday we supported St Mary's Church with their wonderful Open Garden event by opening up Overton Playcentre CIO Forest School and Outdoor Learning areas for visitors to reconnect with their inner child!! Visitors to our 'garden' took part in mud painting, weaving, making pictures out of loose parts, as well as water, paint and mud kitchen play (who doesn't love a mud pie!!). Thank-you to everyone who came and took part!!

Yesterday at the Overton Fete with our Teddy Tombola stall in the morning - it was a sell out!!- huge thanks to everyone for supporting us!! Also as we have have from the start - Overton Playcentre's take on the Tin Can Alley in the Olympics supporting our village community!!

**Flying Start Update **

Please see information below from WCBC detailing the expansion of Flying Start to all Wrexham postcodes 🎉🎉

Wrexham, Flying Start funded 2 yr old childcare is now universally available to all 2 yr olds living at any Wrexham postcode address. Any child that resides at a Wrexham postcode address is eligible to apply for the funded 2yr old childcare entitlement of upto a maximum of 12.5 hrs per week to commence from the start of the term following the term in which the child turns 2 yrs of age until the term in which the child turns 3yrs of age.

The Wrexham website Flying Start page and Flying Start online application portal has been updated to reflect the change and to enable all Wrexham resident parent/carer(s) to apply for their eligible children. Parent/carer(s) are able to submit an application form, for the Flying Start funded 2 yr old childcare, from when their child is 15 months of age.
