Primary Tutor Project Supporting parents of children aged 5-12 with expert Maths and English tuition by qualified teachers. British curriculum specialists. 👩‍🏫💫

When parents look for extra support, they’re often looking for something very simple.

A patient teacher who can explain things differently.

Someone who can help when homework feels difficult.

Support that helps their child stay on track.

Most importantly, they want to see their child become more confident and willing to have a go.

Those are some of the things parents have told us they’ve noticed through their child’s tuition, from improved confidence and ability to becoming more independent with their learning. ❤️

Our Tuition Clubs give children the opportunity to work on these skills each week in a small group of five children or fewer, with a qualified UK teacher.

If you know a family who is looking for support with their child’s learning, you can recommend us to them and earn money if they join.

We offer 1:1 online tuition and small group Tuition Clubs, with qualified UK teachers supporting children with Maths, English and Creative Writing, as well as specialist support for ESL, dyslexia and SEND.

So whether it’s a child who needs a little extra confidence, some help with a particular area or more personalised support, you might know a family who could benefit from what we offer.

Has your child started Year 4 and found that things are beginning to feel a little more challenging?

At this stage, children are expected to become more independent, tackle harder work and explain their thinking more clearly. Some children can lose confidence when they’re not sure of an answer, while others simply benefit from more opportunities to practise and consolidate their skills.

Our Year 4 Tuition Club is one of our small-group clubs available for Autumn 2, starting in November. 🌟

It gives children weekly support with Maths and English in a small, encouraging group.

👩‍🏫 Led by Elisha, a qualified primary teacher with 14+ years of experience

đź’» Weekly 60-minute online sessions
đź’· ÂŁ26.50 per session

Lessons include interactive games, discussion, reading and writing activities, Maths reasoning and problem-solving, with plenty of encouragement from their teacher.

The aim isn’t just to strengthen their academic skills. It’s to help children feel more confident when they face something they find difficult, have a go and become more independent with their learning.

We also run Maths and English Tuition Clubs for Years 3–7, so there are options for children at different stages.

If your child gets stuck on Maths word problems, it might not be the Maths that’s causing the problem. 🤔

Sometimes, they simply need help working out what the question is actually asking.

Learning to pause, pick out the important information and decide what to do next is an important Maths skill. 🧠

That’s something our qualified UK teachers work on with children, helping them understand the process rather than simply telling them which operation to use.

Has your child started Year 3 and found that things suddenly feel a little more challenging?

The move into Key Stage 2 brings new expectations, more independence and new skills to get to grips with. Some children just need a little extra time and support to build their confidence.

Our new Year 3 Tuition Club starts in November, with weekly Sunday sessions designed to help children strengthen their Maths and English skills, build confidence and become more independent learners, all in a small, supportive group. 🌟

👩‍🏫 Led by Ailsa, a qualified primary teacher with 25+ years of experience

Lessons combine Maths and English activities with games, discussion and practical challenges, so children can practise key skills while enjoying their learning.

We’re still finalising the Sunday time, so if another time would work better for your family, please get in touch and let us know your availability. We’d love to find a time that works for the group.

If you’re starting to wonder whether your child is falling behind this term, the first thing to remember is that more work isn’t always the answer.

You might be noticing that homework is taking much longer, the same mistakes keep coming up, or your child is becoming reluctant to have a go.

That can leave you wondering what to do next.

Before adding more practice into their week, try to work out where the difficulty actually is. Is it understanding the question? Remembering a particular Maths skill? Knowing how to organise their ideas in English?

Once you have a clearer picture, you can give them the right kind of support rather than simply giving them more to do.

Sometimes that might be a conversation with their teacher. Sometimes it might be a little targeted practice at home. And sometimes, extra support from a teacher can help them rebuild those skills and confidence.

A little moment we’re very proud of… ❤️

Seeing Primary Tutor Project featured in The Telegraph’s Education section was a real pinch me moment.

When you spend so much time behind the scenes building something you care about, it’s pretty special to see that work recognised in this way.

The article explores something we really believe in: tuition isn’t only about helping children who are falling behind.

For children who are already doing well, the right support can give them more time to ask questions, explore ideas, think more deeply and become more independent in their learning.

That’s something we see in our lessons every week, with our wonderful qualified UK teachers supporting children to think, question and have a go.

Has your child started Year 7 and suddenly found that everything feels a little more complicated?

More teachers. More homework. More to remember. More responsibility for managing their own learning.

For some children, that extra independence takes time to get used to.

Our Year 7 Club is designed to help them build the confidence, organisation and independent learning skills they need to settle into secondary school and feel more in control of their learning.

They’ll work on practical skills such as managing homework, organising their time, developing study habits, problem-solving and building resilience.
