Itās funny⦠the older I get, the less luxury seems to be about things.
Itās about having time. Time for myself, and time for the people I love.
Itās about knowing myself a little better, and continuing to gently grow ā physically and mentally.
Itās about being there for the people I love, even when life is difficult, complicated or distracting.
And somehow, before I started practising yoga, all of those things seemed harder.
Now they just feel like part of my life.
I honestly donāt know exactly how yoga did that.
Maybe itās the breathing. Maybe itās the movement. Maybe itās simply having a little time where I stop doing and start listening.
Iāve also found that I donāt seem to need quite as many things to give me that little hit of excitement.
Thereās a different kind of rush in moving, breathing, feeling strong and simply being present.
And perhaps thatās one of the things I value most about yoga.
It keeps bringing me back to now.
Because we get one life.
This is it.
Not yesterday. Not tomorrow. Not the next thing weāre going to buy, achieve or tick off the list.
This. Right now.
And actually⦠that feels like quite a luxury to me. š
Although Iām still very partial to a nice handbag. š xx
