Geography has made us neighbours," and after this incredible exchange, it is clear that history has made us friends. 🇫🇷✨
From those initial nervous introductions to the teary farewells, our KLB students are heading home with hearts full and memories that will last a lifetime. It has been a privilege to watch these friendships form; these aren't just goodbyes, but a promise of à bientôt, as our students are already planning their next reunion. Well done to everyone involved for making this such a meaningful experience! 🥐❤️

Such an incredible day! 🇫🇷✨ Today, our French exchange students explored the beautiful town of Fontainebleau! From soaking up the vibrant vibes of a traditional French market to wandering the stunning halls of the château and conquering a town trail, it was unforgettable. 🏰🥖 Huge thank you to Collège Denecourt for organising such a perfect day! 🙌❤️

Paris - je t'aime! Our French Exchange students have had a glorious day in Paris. We started off by visiting the town hall and Notre Dame, followed by a boat trip along the Seine. Later we walked through the Louvre, visited the Eiffel tower and finally climbed the Arc de Triomphe. All the sights in one fantastic day, making memories for years to come. 🇫🇷

Bonjour de Bois-le-Roi! 🇫🇷
Our French exchange students have safely arrived in Bois-le-Rois and have been reunited with their partners. They've spent the morning in school experiencing a range of workshops organised to discover the school and local area as well as practise speaking in French. Activities ranged from scent identification, learning to write in ancient Greek to bracelet making. The afternoon has been spent en famille and we're looking forward to visiting Paris.

Last Friday, Year 11 celebrated their final day with us, and they brought a brilliant atmosphere to the school. There was real energy and togetherness throughout the day, from shirt signings to ice cream on the field and a memorable final assembly.

They now head into their exams, and we wish them every success. This has been a fantastic year group who have made a genuine, positive impact on the KLB community.

Huge congratulations to our Y7 and 8 dancers who competed at The Great Big Dance Off at Bath Forum. After months of hard work and rehearsal, both our contemporary and street dance groups performed brilliantly against strong competition from across the southwest.

A special well done to our street dance team, who were crowned KS3 regional champions and have secured their place in the national finals this June.

There has been a flurry of excitement in classes in year 7 to 9 over the last two weeks as students shared the outcomes of KLB's reading project challenge. The challenge: read a book you’ve never read, appropriately challenging (not too easy or too hard), appropriate length (not too short or too long) and share your reading with the class in a creative way of your choice. Classes were treated to cakes, dioramas, book reviews, unwritten chapters, alternative endings, 3D models of characters or scenes, book covers and many examples can now be found on display in the library. The challenge certainly created a buzz around reading!
