Although the summer holidays have started, things on the Nurture Farm are still very busy! πΏπ¦
A huge thank you to the lovely Karen, who came in and gave our duck ponds a really good scrub. Itβs a big job, and weβre so grateful for her help.
Unfortunately, our pressure washer, which we rely on to remove the green slime from the ponds, has finally given up. Weβre desperately in need of a new one, but at the moment our funds simply donβt stretch that far.
On a much more positive noteβ¦ our new ducks have started laying eggs! π₯π Weβre absolutely thrilled, and if all goes well, weβre hoping to start selling fresh eggs from the farm in September.
Weβd also like to say a massive thank you to the families who have recently donated food and bedding for the animals. These donations make such a difference and help us keep the farm running over the holidays. Your kindness and support are truly appreciated.
Thank you for continuing to support our little farm community! π

πΏ A Huge Thank You! πΏ
A massive thank you to the wonderful Karen, Grace and Darcie for giving up their time this weekend to help on our school farm. π
Thanks to their hard work, we were able to get so much done ready for September, including cleaning out all of our animals and making great progress on lots of important jobs. We couldn't do it without amazing volunteers like you!
π°π¦ Throughout the summer holidays, our Farm Team will continue caring for the animals and working on a long list of jobs to get everything ready for the new school year.
If you have a few hours to spare and would like to lend a hand, we'd love to hear from you. Please get in touch with Miss Martin via email [email protected].
π Can you help support the farm?
Our funds are currently running very low, so any support really does make a huge difference. Whether it's making a donation, via the QR code or MCAS app, or purchasing an item from our Amazon Wishlist, every contribution helps us continue providing the very best care for our animals and maintaining this special learning environment for our children.
Thank you for your continued kindness and support β it truly means the world to us. π±ππ¦

πΉ We Need Your Help! πΉ
Our wonderful library guinea pigs are in need of a new way to travel safely.
Unfortunately, the pet carrier we use to transport them has finally broken beyond repair. As many of you know, our Nurture Farm is funded entirely through the generosity of our amazing school community, and at the moment our funds are running very low. Sadly, this means we are unable to purchase a replacement ourselves.
If you are able to donate a suitable small animal carrier, or would like to help us purchase one, we would be incredibly grateful.
Please contact Miss Martin if you think you can help in any way.
Every donation, big or small, helps us continue providing the children with the wonderful experiences our Nurture Farm offers.
Thank you for your continued kindness and support. β€οΈπΉ
A huge thank you to everyone who continues to support our Farm Honesty Shop. Every purchase and donation helps us cover the ongoing costs of caring for our much-loved farm animals, and we are incredibly grateful for your generosity.
Sadly, over the weekend, we had to take one of our guinea pigs to the vet as an emergency. Following veterinary advice, the difficult but kindest decision was made to have her put to sleep. As this was an out-of-hours emergency appointment, it resulted in a significant and unexpected cost.
The farm costs approximately Β£160 each month just for food and bedding. While we do set aside funds for emergencies, situations like this have a considerable impact on our budget.
Any donations towards the running costs of the farm are always greatly appreciated. We know that the farm is an incredibly important and special part of the day for many of our children and staff, and your support helps us continue providing this valuable experience.
Thank you again for your kindness, generosity, and continued support. β€οΈ
βοΈπ°π¦ Keeping Cool on the Nurture Farm! πΉπ¦
A huge thank you to everyone who has been helping to keep our animals safe and comfortable during this recent heatwave.
Our animals' water bottles are being refilled twice a day thanks to the dedication of Mr D. Ray and Mr M. Ray, ensuring that everyone stays well hydrated. π
Some of our wonderful Reception children have also been helping by using the hosepipe to gently cool the animals and their surroundings. It's been lovely to see them taking such good care of our furry and feathered friends. πΏπ§
Fortunately, the position of our Nurture Farm within the school grounds means the area remains relatively cool throughout much of the day, providing some welcome shade and comfort for the animals.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support and care for our Nurture Farm animals β we couldn't do it without you! π°π¦πΉ
π A Massive Thank You! π
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has purchased items for our animals through our Amazon Wishlist. Your generosity makes a real difference and helps us provide the very best care for all of our animals. π°πΉπ¦
We will be updating our Wishlist shortly with additional enrichment items, as well as essential food and bedding supplies. These are things we desperately need as our funds are currently running low. As many people may not realise, there is no school budget allocated to the Nurture Farm, so we rely heavily on donations and the kindness of our community to keep everything running.
Our Honesty Shop is also still stocked with lots of lovely items for sale. The herbs have been particularly popular and have been selling very quickly, so we'll be adding more this week! πΏ
Please remember that the shop is cashless. If you would like to make a purchase or donation, please do so via the MCAS app or by using the QR code displayed at the shop.
Thank you once again for your continued support. Every donation, no matter how small, helps us care for our animals and maintain this special space for our children. β€οΈ
