Worthing School of Dance

Thanks to all who attended our last social party dance of the summer last night.
We had a fun night of dancing. Great to have pupils and friends from our dance community join us.
Thank you to all who so generously contributed to the raffle. We raised £108 for St Barnabas Hospice, Worthing.
Which was fabulous.
There’s no social party dance in August. Our next social dance will be on Saturday 26 th September. Have a great rest of the Summer everyone! 🕺🏻💃🎉🥂😎@

☀️🇬🇧 Cover Our Car Parks, Not Our Fields

Britain needs reliable, clean energy, but many people believe it should not come at the cost of productive farmland. Fields that grow our food are a precious national resource, and once they are lost to development, they are not easily replaced.

Across the country, there are thousands of acres of rooftops, warehouses, factories, shopping centres, schools, office buildings, and large car parks that could be used to generate solar power without reducing the land available for farming.

Solar canopies over car parks offer more than just renewable energy. They can provide shade for vehicles, protect cars from the weather, support electric vehicle charging, and make better use of land that is already covered with concrete and tarmac.

Many people believe Britain's priority should be to maximise these existing spaces before considering productive agricultural land. Protecting farmland helps strengthen food security, supports British farmers, and ensures future generations can continue to produce food here at home.

Renewable energy and farming do not have to compete. With careful planning, Britain can expand clean energy while preserving the fields that feed the nation.

Air conditioned room, Glass of Prosecco on arrival, Raffle for local charity, great music and large dance floor. We have a dress theme of Colours of Summer ( optional).

Thank you to all who contributed to our bring and share tea dance last Sunday.
There were wonderful cakes and raffle prizes and a fun atmosphere.
Great to see so many dancers from our dance school and dance community there.
£151 was raised for The Martlets Hospice in Brighton in our raffle. You are always very generous.

It was great to have so many of our dance community join us.
A special thank you to Sean and Sue who served the teas and coffees to us all,
