🏆👏🏅 Happy Post Friday! 🏅👏🏆

A huge congratulations to all the children who received the Headteacher’s Cup this morning – we are incredibly proud of you!

We also loved celebrating the fantastic range of sporting, creative and personal achievements shared this week, including football, running, mini golf, archery, reading, swimming and the Year 3–6 Legacy Games Competition earlier this week.

Well done, everyone - enjoy the lovely sunny weekend! ☀️

A huge thank you to Friends of Vale for our fantastic new Mobile Snack Shack!

Our first Fruity Friday has been a roaring success, with children enjoying a healthy and refreshing snack to end the week.

Fruity Fridays will now become a regular event at Vale School, and we are excited to continue promoting healthy choices in a fun and engaging way. 🍈🍇🍎🍊🥝

Congratulations to our Get Growing after school who are very proud to have been awarded the Level 1 RHS - Royal Horticultural Society school gardening award.

To achieve this award the children have learnt about the benefits of gardening and started to garden - growing some magnificent pumpkin plants, tomatoes and runner beans and some lovely summer flowers. 🌼🌷🪴🌳

The award included a prize of more seeds to sow and a lovely wellbeing garden book.

Look out for the Inclusion Team stall at the Friends of Vale summer fair on 10th July when some of their beautiful plants will be on sale.

Year 1 enjoyed a wonderful trip to High Salvington Windmill on Wednesday, where they learned all about the history and workings of the windmill.

During their visit, the children ground grain to make flour, helped turn the windmill to understand how it works, and explored the inside of the building, even climbing to the very top!

As an added bonus, the children spotted artwork by the Two Faced Twins, linking perfectly to their recent art lessons.

It was a fantastic day of hands-on learning and exploration.

Mickey's Munchies Café was a huge success today!

A huge well done to 6HG for all of their hard work in planning and running the café. The children did a fantastic job and should be very proud of their efforts.

Thank you to everyone who supported both the café and the raffle. Your generosity and support helped make the event such a success.

🍬 Early Years & Y1 - colouring pencils and individually wrapped sweets - NO sharing-bags please!

🕯️ Y2 - men and women's UNUSED, IN-DATE toiletries and candles

🍪 Y3&4 - luxury food items

🍾 Y5&6 - bottles of alcohol and soft drinks

🧸 ALL YEAR GROUPS - washed, pre-loved cuddly toys

Tesco blue token voting is open until the end of July - we have been doing very well but to reach that £1,500 prize we need your help

The tokens are emptied and counted each week and then refreshed.

6RG did an amazing job last week hosting parents and staff at their very own dog themed cafe - Bone Appetit!

Whether they were working in the kitchen, greeting customers or serving them and taking payment in the cafe, they did a stellar job!

We also are happy to announce the winners of our raffle prizes which will be delivered by the year 6 children today.

Careers Week 2026!

We were delighted to welcome a range of professionals into school for our Careers Talks. The children enjoyed learning about different career paths from a vet, a paediatrician, a garden designer, a SAM coach and an app-making entrepreneur.

Thank you to all of our visitors for sharing their experiences and inspiring our pupils to think about their future aspirations. 👏

Year 1 and Year 2 came together for PLaNT this week. The children used hammers, nails and tape to create their own rainmakers. They enjoyed exploring different materials and developing their practical skills while working creatively together.
