🎬FILM FESTIVAL SUCCESS! 🎬

Our Winning Films 🏆
I am excited to share that the following films from our academy have been selected as winning films at this year’s PQA National Film Festival and will be heading to The O2 in London on Sunday 15th November to be shown on the big screen! 🎥✨

Our winning films are:

🎬 BeetleJuice- Worthing Red Group

🎬 I Just Might - Worthing, Brighton West, Brighton

There is so much that goes into making these films, both in front of and behind the camera – from coming up with the initial ideas and developing the story, to acting, directing, camera work, sound, lighting, editing, production and all the creative decisions along the way.
These films really are a team effort, so this is a fantastic achievement for every student involved, whether they were performing on screen or part of the crew bringing it all together.
We are so proud of our students and absolutely cannot wait to see their work up on the big screen at The O2!

Further details about the Film Festival will be shared in the newsletter.

Well done everyone! 🎬⭐

TWO YEARS OF PQA WORTHING! ✨
What an incredible two years it has been! 🥹💛
Last Friday-Two years ago, we opened our doors and welcomed our very first Friday night stars… and since then, what a journey it’s been! 🌟
From our academy showcases 🎭, making our very own films 🎬, bringing Alice in Wonderland to life with our immersive performance 🐇✨, being the amazing choir for G4 🎤, and not to mention doing our first academy musical, Matilda Jr — our students have experienced SO much!
And, of course, every Friday night brings new opportunities to learn, grow and develop those amazing performing arts skills — from singing, dancing and acting to confidence, teamwork, creativity and simply being brave enough to step outside your comfort zone. 💃🎤🎬
Watching each and every one of you grow in confidence, discover new talents, make friendships and create memories along the way is what makes PQA Worthing so special. ❤️
We are incredibly proud of you all and so grateful to every student and family who has been part of our journey over the past two years. 🥰
And there’s so much more to come…
🌟 Bring on February and Dare to Dream — our musical revue! 🌟

TEENAGE MINDS 3.0…You were something pretty special last night! 🥹💛
We honestly couldn’t be prouder of this beautiful bunch!
We started Teenage Minds with just one academy and now it brings some of our older students together from PQA - Brighton West PQA Brighton PQA Worthing-and we LOVE that! 💛

Teenage Minds has always been about so much more than putting on a show. It’s about giving our young people a VOICE — to feel heard, be creative, express themselves, support one another and, most importantly, be themselves.

Watching their friendships grow (yes, they talk WAY too much! 🤣), the kindness they show each other and how much they support one another is one of our favourite parts of it all. 🥰
I know I say this a lot, but I really do feel so lucky and privileged to do what I do. To play even a small part in these young people’s childhoods and hopefully help fill those years with happy memories, creativity, friendship and kindness is pretty special. 🥹

We really don’t take it lightly. I know that the adults around young people can have such an impact, and hopefully our students feel encouraged, supported, believed in and know that we are always fighting their corner. Myself, Leila, Kat and the rest of our wonderful team do not take that for granted. 💛

Teenage Minds simply wouldn’t happen without the wonderful Leila and Kat. They put so much into this, but more importantly, they are absolute champions of every single one of our students. They believe in them, encourage them, listen to them and are always there in their corner. We all feel incredibly lucky to have them. 🥰💛

A HUGE thank you also to Zoe, who helped us massively, and to Ellie, Max, Libbie, Rosie, Megan, Jack and Alisha for your time, and support. What a team! 💛

And of course Simon and Sam — thank you for the wonderful sound and lighting and for quite simply being you! 🥰

To our cast… CONGRATULATIONS! We are SO incredibly proud of you!
💛🖤💛
Thank you to everyone who came along, supported us and helped raise money for . 💛
