I have arrived! Here are my first clues - do you know where I am?

21/07/2024

Hello,
Unfortunately we didn't get many people at Thursday's meeting. As this is the second launch/taster event for awards - inclusive drama group with a low turnout, I'm admittedly disappointed and a little confused.
I am so passionate about creating an inclusive drama group and sharing my skills as a disabled actor and coach - but perhaps I'm missing something.
Please comment, or send a message with any suggestions or differing viewpoints. I'd really appreciate any feedback.

(Pointless fact - on Instagram, I've added music - The Carnival is Over, which was my audition piece for my first professional audition back in 1982).

Tonight's the night! See you at 7pm at The Old Songs Home.

Another Q&A:
Q: "My health condition makes it difficult to commit to things - do I have to come every week?"
A: I know - me too - and we will talk about 'spoons' and how we have to balance our energy. Sometimes doing activities that promote wellbeing will give back more than we spend ('with interest'). But the simple answer is no. Drop in, take a break - it's up to you.

Ahead of tomorrow's meeting, please ask questions - you can post as a comment or message on Messenger or Instagram (awards_worthing) and I'll post answers.
I'm going to start with this one:

Q: "I get anxious if I'm asked to do something in front of strangers, or if I'm not sure I can do it. Will I have to join in?"

A: The aim is to make this a really safe inclusive place. I will ask for basic information on accessibility needs - tell me what you want me to know. We'll also have a card system, which I'll explain, so you can let me know if you want to skip an activity, or need support to join in, or something else.

Nobody knows why she is here - least of all Zoe herself. Perhaps she can talk her way out of a corner?
Introducing Shari Auldyth, actor and playwright. Her day job is in the hospital - will she be able to find her way out of this one?

This is your chance to see for free what awards - inclusive drama group is all about - one member of the cast does not consider themselves an actor, and another hates performing in public.
Written, produced, and directed by me - and reluctantly I'm in the lead role too (it was accepted at short notice so I couldn't expect anyone to learn the lines in time!).

Yes, it's self-promomotion o'clock again! Just a reminder that hilarious murder mystery is on this Saturday 2pm at New Park Community Centre in Chichester. Be there or be... well, that would be telling!
