Fun French Worthing and Hove

Sadly after many years at the Worthing Lyndhurst School site, now Home field Primary Lower School, we are having to temporarily close our French Club. There has been an unusually poor take-up this autumn, possibly because parents are unsettled by the merger. We don't know. We hope try again for the January Term

On the other hand the new Club at Home field Upper School, formerly Chesswood is having a really promising start. We open on Thursday afternoon, with half the club coming from the old Lyndhurst Infants Club so they can guide the children new to us

We have some extremely sad news.

One of our best Club Leaders in Hove was Catherine Le Faou, who returned to France a few years ago. She very sadly lost her brave battle with brain cancer today 14 th April 2022.

Apart from being well loved by the children, she was popular with the parents and the staff at the schools and she was a brilliant club leader. We still use some of the extra resources she created.

Creativity was something we shall remember Catherine for. She was an accomplished artist with her own unique style but her imaginary friends will live on in her paintings.

Catherine and I had a great working relationship. We got on extremely well and I was very sad when circumstances forced her to return to her Brittany home.

Our thoughts are with her family and especially her English partner Steve at this devastating loss of soneone so young.

R.I.P Catherine.

Covid permitting we hope to back to full strength next Friday at Swiss Gardens Primary in Shoreham. Then we start our tour around France.....

Sadly due to a marked increase in Covid cases amongst pupils and staff, St Philips Catholic School in Arundel has had to close all clubs for next 2 weeks. Our successful French Club also a casualty. We very much hope to see everyone on December 6th, depending on how the situation develops.
