Such a lovely morning at Caer Gwent care home.

We sang, chatted and spent some really special time together. There is something so beautiful about intergenerational relationships and seeing the joy, connection and confidence they bring to both the children and residents. 💛

Myself and the children loved this new session Crimsham Farm yesterday - Jas was so welcoming and I have some children who prefer a quieter environment and this was perfect 😍

A little sleep update 💤

Following the updated EYFS safer sleep requirements that came into effect this September, I’ve been reviewing our sleep arrangements and making sure everything continues to meet the latest guidance.

Babies in my care have always slept safely in travel cots when we’re at home, or in whatever way has been agreed with parents to suit their individual needs.

Where needed, babies are still happily having their naps in the travel cots at home.

I’m really proud to say that the older children who are ready have now transitioned beautifully onto the sleep mats and have all adapted so well 🥰

As always, every child’s individual sleep needs are taken into consideration and discussed with parents.

So proud of them all 🤍

Some days I have to pinch myself that this is my job. 🤍

Today, my children aged 18 months to 8 years were playing with new friends, with nothing but nature and their imaginations to guide them. There was curiosity, creativity, laughter, and the freedom to explore.

Watching the older children naturally include the younger ones, seeing friendships blossom, and witnessing the magic that happens when children are simply given the time and space to play was truly special.

It felt like such a privilege to witness and a wonderful reminder that some of the most meaningful childhood memories are made in the simplest moments. 🌿✨

Just another reason why I love the holidays too, bringing different ages together 🤩
