🐠🪼🐙 🌊 We’ve been under the sea! 🌊 🐙🪼🐠

What a fin-tastic week we’ve had in our Baby Room! 🐟💙 Our little explorers have been diving into all things Under the Sea, with lots of messy, squishy and exciting sensory activities! 🐚🫧🐠

We’ve been busy exploring different textures, colours and sounds, getting stuck in and having lots of fun along the way! 😍

🌿☀️ We’ve also been making the most of our garden every day, enjoying the sunshine, fresh air and plenty of outdoor adventures!

✨ Our sensory room has been a big hit too, giving our little ones a lovely space to explore, investigate, relax and enjoy lots of sensory experiences.

🏖️🌊 And what better way to finish our Under the Sea adventures than with a trip to the park by the beach! We had so much fun exploring, enjoying the fresh sea air and making the most of our beautiful surroundings. 🥰

It’s been a week full of splashes, smiles, sensory play, sunshine and seaside adventures! 💙🐳

We wonder where our imaginations will take us next… 👀✨

🌿 Great outdoor spaces don't just encourage children to run around. They encourage them to slow down and notice.

The changing seasons. The sound of birds. A tiny insect making its way across a leaf.

At Discovery Day Nursery, time spent outdoors gives children the opportunity to observe, explore and connect with nature in meaningful ways, helping to develop curiosity, confidence and a deeper understanding of the world around them.

🌟 What a wonderful week in our Toddler & Preschool Room! 🌟

Today, we were very lucky to be specially invited to St Mary's Care Home for the opening of their brand-new lounge! 🥳

The children had such a lovely time celebrating with everyone. There were balloons 🎈, lots of dancing 💃🕺, plenty of smiles and even a few local celebrities making an appearance! ⭐ It was so special to see the children enjoying themselves and being part of such a lovely occasion.

The rest of our week has been just as busy! We’ve enjoyed lots of fun in the garden 🌿, playing games together, exploring, discovering and taking part in lots of learning through play. 🧩📚🎨

A big thank you to St Mary’s for inviting us to such a special celebration. We had a fantastic time and made some wonderful memories! ❤️

🌿🐒 Jungle Week in the Baby Room! 🐘🦜🌴

We’ve had a roarsome week exploring our jungle theme! 🐯🌿 Our little explorers have been loving all of our themed activities and getting stuck into lots of sensory fun. 💚

🐘 Elephant water trays – splashing, pouring and exploring! 💦
🦜 Parrot crafts – sticking colourful feathers and getting creative! 🎨🪶
🌳 Daily garden time – enjoying the fresh air, sunshine and plenty of outdoor adventures! 🌼☀️

One of our special highlights this week was taking a walk down to the beach! 🌊🏖️ The babies had a wonderful time exploring the sand, feeling the different textures and enjoying a change of scenery. 🥰👣

🌟 Every child deserves the chance to be the discoverer, not just the observer.

🍂🧡 We’re feeling very autumnal in Nursery this week! 🧡🍂

We’ve been embracing all things autumn with lots of seasonal arts, crafts and creative fun! 🎨🍁

🦔 We’ve been busy making adorable little hedgehogs from playdough
🎃 Creating our very own paper plate pumpkins
🍂 Making beautiful leaf handprints with lots of autumnal colours
🌧️ And, of course, enjoying plenty of outdoor play in the rain!

Because nothing is going to stop us from getting outside! ☔️🌈 Cue the puddle suits and welly boots! 👢💦 There’s something so much fun about splashing, exploring and enjoying the fresh autumn air together. 🍁🌳

🐛🦎 It’s Bug Week in the Toddler Room! 🕷️🐍

Our toddlers have been having a fantastic time getting messy, exploring and learning through our creepy crawly-themed sensory activities! 🔍🌵✨

The children loved exploring our desert sensory tray with magnifying glasses, searching carefully for lizards, snakes and all sorts of other creatures hiding amongst the sand! 🦎🐍🔎 They showed so much curiosity and excitement as they discovered the different animals, sharing their findings with their friends and supporting one another along the way. 🥰

As well as being lots of fun, this activity helped the toddlers develop their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and concentration as they handled the magnifying glasses and explored the smaller objects. Their laughter, conversations and teamwork also provided wonderful opportunities to develop their social skills and confidence. 💕🌟

And, of course, there’s always time for some outdoor fun! 🌳☀️ Our toddlers love spending time in the garden every day, making the most of our tree house and mud kitchen. 🏡🪵🍃 Whether they’re cooking up a muddy masterpiece, exploring the garden or enjoying imaginative play together, there’s always something exciting to discover! 👩🍳🧁🌿

🌟🚀 A week of space adventures in the Baby Room! 🚀🌟

We’ve had another wonderful week filled with lots of sensory, messy and creative fun as we continue our space-themed adventures! 🌙🪐✨

🎨 Our little explorers enjoyed painting their very own planet paper plates, getting creative with colours and textures.

👽 We also had lots of fun making playdough aliens — squishing, squeezing and moulding our way to some very special space friends!

💦 Our babies absolutely loved exploring our sensory water bags, enjoying the colours, movement and different sensations as they investigated them with their little hands.

🌿 And, of course, we’ve made the most of the lovely time in our garden, with plenty of fresh air, exploring and opportunities for outdoor play.

What a busy week for our little astronauts! 🚀💫 We can’t wait to see where our space adventures take us next! 🌎👩🚀👨🚀
