We cannot believe we are approaching mid 2026 … let alone coming to the end of another academic year!!! It has been such a busy year with the implementation of the government’s 9 months+ and 2-year-old Working Families funding, local settings closing, people moving in to the area - our numbers seem to be continually increasing rather than just at the start of term!
🏡 Lindens, as it is today, was established by the current owner Mrs Wendy Tovey when she moved to Highdown Avenue with her family in 1979. (Yes, that really was 47 years ago!) And although Mrs Tovey isn’t as active with the children in the classroom these days she is very much a part of Lindens.
🏡 Lindens is a family run pre-school with well established staff who are like family too … well, we must be as the children think we all live here!!
🚸 Lindens Pre-School Group accepts children from 2 years of age.
We are registered with West Sussex and can accept children with
>2, 3 & 4 year old Working Families Funding (up to 30 hours per week)
>2 year olds accessing Local Authority Issued Funding (up to 15 hours per week)
>3 & 4 year old Universal Funding (up to 15 hours per week) All children can access Universal Funding (15 hours per week) the term after their 3rd birthday.
We are regularly inspected by Ofsted with our last inspection being 4th July 2024.
🎒Children attending Lindens bring their own water bottles, fruit snacks and packed lunches. Although we do offer a variety of foods to try when related to our activities and healthy eating.
🕘 We are open for 34 weeks of the year and operate Morning Sessions:
9.00am - 12.00 noon
and Day Sessions:
8.45am - 2.45pm for children bringing a packed lunch.
