🌋🔥 THE FLOOR IS LAVA! 🔥🌋

We LOVE messy play at Bright Little Minds… and our children do too! 😍

We believe messy, sensory play is just as important as any other activity because when children are getting stuck in, getting messy and having fun, they’re also learning, exploring, problem-solving and building confidence. 🧠✨

This week, the children took on the challenge of saving the animals from the lava! 🐯🐘🦁

Using our squishy, oozy red oobleck as lava, the children had to work out how to build bridges using lolly sticks and cups to get the animals safely across. 🌋🌉

And there was learning happening at every stage:
🤏 Younger children developed their pincer grip as they picked up and positioned materials.
🧒 Older children practised fine motor skills and coordination using tongs.
💭 Children experimented, tested ideas and solved problems when their bridges didn’t quite work!
📖 Our adults extended the play by encouraging the children to create stories and asking open-ended questions to stretch their thinking.

Most importantly? They were having FUN! ❤️

🌳 Sometimes the best learning happens when children are free to explore.

At Bright Little Minds, children have free-flow access to our outdoor area, giving them the freedom to choose when they want to head outside and explore through child-led play.

Whether they're following an interest, discovering something new or simply enjoying being outdoors, having that freedom gives children another space to learn, play and develop their confidence.

🌿 Learning doesn't have to sit at a table.

At Bright Little Minds, play is at the heart of early learning. Our curriculum gives children opportunities to lead their own play, take part in adult-led activities and follow their own spontaneous interests as they explore the environment around them.

Our practitioners are there to join in, listen, ask questions and help extend children's learning, while still giving them the freedom to discover things for themselves.

Job Vacancy We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator with a Level 3 qualifaction to join our team.
We are looking for someone to work between 8.30 - 3.00pm on a term time contract or all year round.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the development of children aged 0-5 years. The Early Childhood Educator will play a crucial role in shaping the educational experiences of our youngest learners, ensuring their safety, well-being, and growth.

To celebrate read a book day we asked our children to bring in their favourite books from home. 📖Thank you for sharing your favourite books, we have enjoyed reading them all! Our staff have chosen their favourite books too.

We also want to introduce our lending library! We have been donated some lovely books to share with our families. The library will out each morning. You can chose one to take home and bring it back or swap it with one of your own books! ❤️
