Julie's House Childminding

This week is National Childminding Week. and the theme this year is the magic of childminding.
As part of our celebrations over 70 members of Magic Minders and their children gathered for a morning of bubbles, ribbons, balls, pinwheels, and roly polying down the grassy slopes at High Salvington Windmill. The lovely windmill staff opened up their shop, selling souvenirs and refreshments, including yummy cake and bags of flour ground on site. We were delighted that Elaine from The Worthing Herald was also able to join us and see first hand the wonderful job that registered childminders do.

Thank you to Speech and Language Therapist Joyanne Williamson for delivering a fantastic 2 hour course this evening for 17 of our members. We learnt about the impact covid has had on our childrens speech, all about the Language Pyramid and the importance of providing the right foundations, and also many techniques to help encourage childrens speech.
Joyanne is such a huge support to our members, visiting many of our settings regularly and working with many of our mindees, she is highly regarded by everyone who meets her in particular our Magic Minder members.

We have enjoyed learning about butterflies,hatching four at Julie’s house and setting them free in the garden.

We have had a wonderful time learning and celebrating the Platinum Jubilee.🇬🇧
