This morning in the Hatchlings space the children enjoyed a rice tuff tray to mark making with paint brushes🎨 the children used their fine motor skills to grip the paint brushes and their hands to feel the rice ☺️
All of the children in the hatchlings space enjoyed this activity and spent a period of time exploring the colours and textures! The staff role modelled how to hold the paint brushes and the children enjoyed copying the patterns the staff created, we incorporated colours and talked to the children about the different colours they could see ❤️

Helping with the recycling.♻️

Today a big delivery came to Roosters, who jumped at the chance to help with the recycling. They took the boxes back to the garden and set about creating a fishing lake. They had lots of fun catching fish and talking about the colours, patterns, and sizes of the catch. They even counted the number of fish in the nets.

The Chicks went on a Bear Hunt!

The children really enjoyed their morning walk on the estate, searching for bears in the cave and picking blackberries. They had a fantastic time letting off steam. Witches Potion Making 🧪 🧙‍♀️

This morning, the Rooster children engaged in a potion-making activity using natural materials and elements.

We used flowers, leaves and water to make different colours and scents.

Each child had full exploration of the materials and tools available to them.

This activity helped expand their imagination and let their creativity flow. We worked on our sharing and turn taking skills and discussed what we saw change❤️

This morning, the Rooster children participated in an enjoyable and interactive role-play activity during snack time.

The children used coins to purchase snacks from the cashiers, Kerry and Ruth. Each child had the chance to enhance their counting skills by counting out their pennies and using the card machine to process their transactions.

All the children displayed patience and respect for one another, demonstrating excellent turn-taking and communication skills while interacting with the cashiers. 🍎🍌🍊

Hatchlings had a wonderful time celebrating Tiger Day!🐅

We linked out activities to the lovely book ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’, incorporating some fun literacy into our playful exploration. The children absolutely loved creating vibrant tiger pictures and got really stuck in with our sensory tiger tuff tray.

Using scoops and pincers, they collected all different sorts of materials, which was a fantastic way to develop their fine motor skills! 🎨✨

We focused on the bold black and orange colours, sparking conversations and helping with their language development.

What a wonderful way to learn and have fun together! 🥳
