**We are officially on holiday! ☀️**
After a crazy first half of the year, we’re taking a well-deserved (and very rare!) week off to rest, recharge, and enjoy some time away.
We’ll be stepping back from social media during this time, so any messages or enquiries will be responded to when we return in a week’s time.
Thank you for your support, and we’ll see you soon! 💙

Chop graduated from his reactivity sessions this morning 🫡
Being a dog trainer isn’t about milking owners for endless sessions or forcing dogs into your own idea of what they should be. It’s about teaching clients the skills and knowledge to understand and handle their dog confidently. You can then send them away to put into practice at home once you are happy they can manage the dog
Understanding arousal is pivotal when working through reactivity.
When I first met Chop, he was absolutely terrified of the world tail tucked, wide-eyed, and constantly scanning everything around him. He would growl, bark, and react to other dogs out of fear, nerves, and overwhelm.
Today, he’s a happy, confident dog with a spring in his step. He passes dogs without issue, has been on holiday to Skegness, and was the best boy. He’s no longer living in fear he’s thriving and understands how to cope with pressure.
When I say you get out what you put in, it’s true. His owner is an absolute diamond. She listens, puts the work in day after day, and that’s why they achieved such incredible progress in just four well spaced sessions.
Everyone’s journey looks different, but change is possible. The prong collar has been conditioned and calibrated with precision and skill, meaning Chop understands exactly how to respond. No heavy corrections, just fine tuning
Pressure is not the enemy for fearful dogs. When applied fairly and appropriately, it can help build happier, more confident dogs that you can truly enjoy life with.
Chop has been a great dog to work with, he is comical!

Are you walking your dog in the heat??! ☀️
Little Ronnie has been in the vets today from a few days of being pretty poorly.
Swollen lymph nodes & stomach due to heat sensitivity. Lethargic, coming out both ends - bad!
Baring in mind we:
- Rinse a few times a day in the shower with cold water
- They wear extra cold vests
- Lots of water to drink
- Shaded in heat peaks
- Fans, cool mat galore in my house
- Walked 5.30am, or not at all on extra hot days
- Fur kept shorter but enough for him to cool
- Structured naps for rest
All these precautions taken, and still this internal reaction in his body.
So just imagine whats going on inside the body of all these dogs I see being walked in +25 degrees!!
Look after your dogs!

This weather really hits our industry hard.
Over the last few days, many of us in the dog industry have had to make the decision to cancel classes, workshops, walks, training sessions, daycare activities and events.
As small businesses, every cancellation has an impact. We lose income, spend hours rearranging schedules, and often absorb costs that can’t be recovered.
But dog welfare will always come first.
No class, walk, workshop or training session is worth putting a dog at risk. When temperatures soar, our responsibility is to keep dogs safe, even when it’s the harder business decision.
So today, I’d love to shine a light on the amazing small businesses who are also putting welfare first. If you know a dog trainer, walker, daycare, groomer, physio, hydrotherapist, pet sitter or any other pet professional who has been affected by the heat, tag them below and give them a follow.
Supporting small businesses costs nothing, but it can make a huge difference.
Let’s show some love to the people who spend every day caring for our dogs. ❤️🐾

Deciding to own a motivated herding breed and being surprised when it tries to bite at the arse of fast moving dogs when off lead,
then trying to remove the behaviour
Is like buying a can of tomato soup and being surprised that it is wet and tomatoey when opened,
then trying to remove the flavour
Be very careful - there are a lot of online dog profiles who will claim they can turn tomatoes into chickens - for a price.

Lovely Louie & Nancy were in for a walk this week 💕
I worked with Nancy for fear based reactivity last year and she still does great. Doesn’t react to dogs out and about now and a pleasure to walk.
Owners stuck to everything; she is a genetically nervy girl and will have her moments when arousal overflows, but now manageable.
Louie is a chilled social king 😂💙
You cannot change genetics, but you can help to understand your individual dog!

Things have been a little mental recently 🥹
My dog training business demand has absolutely erupted
There is no better advertising than the word of mouth!!
THANKYOU to all clients new and old who continue to tell their friends, families and colleagues about the work I do. 80% of work I get genuinely comes from referral and its the way I like it 💙
If you have worked with me and could leave a review, that would be grand!
I am fully booked until the 21st June. If you’d like to get booked in then please do get in touch.
If any existing clients need to schedule their follow ups then get them booked in you lot!!
If I cannot get you in soon enough; I will help refer you to other suitable trainers
As we approach the warmer summer months I will be offering earlier/later slots but of course will be limited.
Thanks again ✨
