Football Clubs – Next Half Term ⚽

If your child is interested in joining one of our football clubs next half term, please complete the relevant Microsoft Form. This will help us gauge numbers and plan the sessions.

Boys’ Football Club

We are looking at running 2 or 3 sessions, including a session for children who are a little older and/or have more footballing experience.

We have children who play for academies, represent multiple teams outside of school and play at a very high standard. Other sessions will be aimed at children with less experience, giving them the chance to learn, develop and have fun with children of a similar ability.

We want to make sure every child has a great experience, whatever their current level.

School Football Team

We are really proud to give children opportunities to represent our school. However, we compete in a very competitive football league, where many schools select only their strongest players.

While we always try to provide opportunities, when selecting our school team we will choose the players we feel are strongest and most suited to the particular match on the day.

We are also proud to be one of the few primary schools in the area that tries to organise matches for children who are not selected for the main school team. This gives more children the chance to represent the school and gain match experience, although these fixtures depend on other schools being willing and available to play.

Girls’ Football Club

Miss Pumfrey and Miss Maddison will be running Girls’ Football Club as normal.

There will be a limit on the number of children who can attend, so completing the interest form will help us gauge numbers and plan the sessions accordingly.

**One Last Year 5 vs Year 6 El Clásico for the Road!** ⚽🔥

Year 5 made the perfect start by taking an early lead, but Year 6 battled back to secure a 2–1 victory. The winning goal came from the penalty spot to seal the win in a fantastic game played in great spirit.

A great game to finish the year. Well done to both year groups! 👏

What a fantastic afternoon of House Football! ⚽

The competition was fierce, with every game played in a great spirit. It was brilliant to see so many children showing teamwork, determination and excellent sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

💪 HH – for showing fantastic determination and commitment every time they stepped onto the pitch.

We've had an incredible year at Redlands, and during our penultimate assembly we celebrated some fantastic achievements from across the year.

Our girls' football team were proudly presented with the Jack Tarr Shield by league organiser Mr Nunn, while **our boys' and girls' footballers** were presented with their league winners' medals. Our Year 6 footballers received theirs during the Leavers' Assembly.

Speaking of our leavers, we also announced the winners of the Year 6 trophies to the whole school – a wonderful way to recognise their achievements before they move on to secondary school.

Finally, congratulations to **Thoresby**, who were crowned this year's Proud Points champions!

They’ve done it! 🏆

Our girls are the first-ever winners of the Jack Tarr Shield❤️🖤

The girls played a fantastic game against Gateford Park. It was a real battle at times, but they absolutely smashed it. They played some amazing football and showed outstanding sportsmanship throughout the game. They were never selfish, always looking for the extra pass and finishing their moves in style.

The game was a real end-to-end contest. We took the lead with the opening goal before Gateford Park fought back to equalise. Despite that setback, our girls stayed calm, controlled the game throughout and continued to create chance after chance. Their attacking play and clinical finishing proved too much for the opposition, and they deservedly came away as champions.

A huge well done to Gateford Park for reaching the final and being such fantastic opposition. It was a brilliant game to watch.

The girls have been outstanding all year, and lifting this trophy is the perfect way to cap off an incredible season.

A massive thank you to Miss Maddison and Miss Pumfrey for coaching the team, leading training every week, and giving up their own time to attend every game throughout the cup run, even on their days off. Your dedication has been incredible.

Finally, a huge thank you to all the parents and children who came along to support the team. Your encouragement was fantastic and made a real difference.

What an amazing day for our school.
