Defib pad placement is important. Positioning the pads correctly can double someone’s chance of survival.

While these two examples appear similar, side A is the correct way to place the pads. The key difference is that the pad on the left hand side of the chest has been placed on the side of the rib cage, closer to the armpit.

Buy that person time while the ambulance is travelling.
CPR alone won’t bring the person back, but it will keep the brain oxygenated delaying hypoxia and buying that person valuable time prior to defibrillation.

Completed my internal quality assessment and passed with flying colours. It’s so nice getting validation and being told you’re doing a good job by people who actually know the business. 🤓 I scored an A which means my training is graded as Outstanding and above and beyond what is expected of an established and experienced trainer. I can’t ask for better than that ☺️
