We encourage the children to be independent whilst they are here at the setting
From a very young age they are encouraged to wash their hands at the sink using the step, empty their plate into the bin and put it into the sink. The children help clean the table after meal times and they are encouraged to pour their own drinks into cups.
The children also help out their own bedding onto their bed and when they have finished their nap they put their bedding and mat away.
Food preparation is another time where the children can feel proud of what they have accomplished by preparing their own meals, cutting up fruit for snack etc..
this is from a few weeks ago when the children made pizza wraps one of their fave meals!

This week has been such a wholesome and heartwarming one for us ๐
As part of our activities, weโve been carrying out random acts of kindness within our community. The children have absolutely loved being involved and itโs been so special to see their kindness shine through.
One day we went shopping together to pick out donations for the local food bank, talking about how we can help others in need. On another day, we spent time handing out flowers and little treats to members of the community. The smiles we received in return were just priceless ๐ผ
It was a real joy to see peopleโs faces light up, and the children took such pride in giving out the gifts and wishing everyone a lovely day.
Moments like these are so important in helping little ones learn empathy, kindness, and the joy of giving ๐

Our transport theme is off to an amazing start! ๐๐
Last week we visited the train station and watched a train pull awayโthere was so much excitement as the children observed it leaving the platform. We were also lucky enough to explore an empty bus, where the children had lots of questions about the buttons and how to let the driver know when to stop. They absolutely loved climbing aboard and pretending to be passengers!
We also watched the live footage from Manchester airport runway of the planes taking off.
Today, we continued the fun with a vehicle scavenger hunt, spotting all sorts of transport in our local area ๐๐ฒ๐

We have reached the end of the Easter holidays โ what an amazing two weeks it has been!
Weโve had lots of outdoor fun and time in the garden, Easter set-ups, weโve been to see some animals, den building, soft play, walks to the park, and visits to our favourite library group. Weโve made chocolate bars, done pottery painting, danced, sang, and created some lovely, memorable moments along the way.
We also celebrated a very special 2nd birthday!
The children have been a credit to themselves while weโve been out and about in public, and we even had a few lovely comments about how polite they are.
I am very proud of them all! ๐ธ๐ฃ
Next week!
My favourite topic

Today we hosted a wonderful Easter egg hunt for all of our families ๐ฃ๐
With a bouncy castle, face painter, buffet, and of course a big Easter egg hunt, it was such a joy to see the children having so much fun and excitement throughout the day.
It was truly heartwarming to see all of our families come together as a community โ catching up, spending time together, and meeting one another.
We feel incredibly grateful for the continued support our families give us every single day, and this was just a small way of saying thank you ๐
A day full of smiles, laughter, and lovely memories!
