In SCS we have enjoyed exploring an ‘under the sea’ tufftray using different textured materials and resources to mark make and transport.

We have also been involved mixing our delicious biscuits using our senses such as touch, smell and taste to explore the different ingredients😊🪸🪼🍪

We have been using the climbing equipment and wooden blocks learning how to use our bodies in different ways.

We are very excited to announce we a few limited spaces available in our preschool room.
These places will be given out on a first come, first served basis. Our preschool operates from 7:30 am to 5:00. There will be sessions available with in these times.
These sessions are available to start in September 2026 or January and April 2027.
We have both term-time and stretched hour options available. If you'd like more details about these sessions, feel free to give us a call at the nursery on 01900 872011, ext 4.

🌿 A little look at our week! 🌿

We’ve had another lovely week in the Talkers and Pretenders class, filled with lots of fun, learning and exploring! 🥰
The children have enjoyed getting involved in a variety of activities and experiences, following their own interests, developing new skills and making lots of happy memories along the way. 💕✨

💙Making Playdough in MSE 💙

This morning, the children had a fantastic time making playdough! They poured in flour and salt after carefully measuring it, added food colouring and cream of tartar, and gave it all an BIG mix together. Becky kindly added boiling water and mixed it all up, while we had a play break. 💙

Once it cooled down, the children helped knead the playdough until it was perfect for playing. It was a lovely team effort, and we can’t wait to see what they will create with their new playdough!😊

If you would like to create this at home, the ingredients are as follows -
2 cups of plain flour, 1 cup of salt, a dash of oil, 2 cups of boiling water, 3 satchets of cream of tartar, and food colouring to preference. Mix well until it forms a dough and enjoy the fun it creates!

This week in MSE we have enjoyed a variety of different types of activities and play opportunities, some of which included painting, sensory trays and sticking & gluing. We have also enjoyed lots of time in the garden! 🎨🫟🖌️

We have continued our love for pirates by creating our own pirate ships! we put in a lot of effort painting and decorating, adding sails and pirate flags to them. We also found some special frozen treasure! The children have been working hard to free it and find out who could win. They really applied their critical thinking skills and used different tools to break the ice and discover the treasure inside.

This week, our focus has been on pirates, inspired by some of our children visiting tall ships. We kicked things off by creating treasure maps and exploring pirate-themed books, with "Pizza for Pirates" being a favourite! Today, we made pirate pizzas, discussing the various ingredients and toppings we enjoy. It's been a fun pirate adventure!
