A ride out today to meet the team at Honister Slate Mine to get them qualified on the use of scissor MEWP to help them function the new, and long awaited Zip-Line that’s coming soon.

Pleased to say that they were all successful, so no need to worry 😜

We can’t wait to see it finally open and we’re sure it’s going to be a massive success!

Loads of other great activities here for the family too during the holidays and it’s certainly worth a visit this summer

☀️ Sunshine, diggers, and plenty of future talent, what more could you ask for?

We had an amazing time at the Festival of Work last Thursday at Lakes College with All Together Cumbria.

It was brilliant to see so many students stepping up to take on our digger challenge!
Hopefully we have inspired the next generation of digger drivers and plant operators. 🚜👷

A huge thank you to All Together Cumbria, Lakes College, and Morgan Sindall for hosting such a fantastic event. 👏

A warm day spent with staff from Altrad and Leck Construction on medium risk confined space training.
Luckily our sub terrain test facility was lovely and cool and welcoming for successful testing.

A very productive day spent with the staff from First Engineering in Dalston, Cumbria.

Some refreshing their skill, and some first timers to the world of fall protection equipment.

Their employer chose the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) award for this subject, for Harness awareness, user & inspector levels.

Harness Awareness (HA): A theory module covering fall protection legislation, harness systems, anchor points, and pre-use checks.

Harness User (HU): A practical assessment module evaluating your ability to perform pre-use checks, fit/adjust the harness, and attach to anchor points.

Harness Inspector (HI): Advanced, hands-on training covering detailed inspection procedures, identifying equipment damage, and maintaining statutory inspection reports.
