Our Workington group are close to work experience week and we are seeking local placements in the following areas:

🧼 Cleaning
👨🏼‍🔧 Mechanical/engineering or warehouse
🖌️ Anything creative or artistic
🛒 Roles where students can develop customer service and communication skills

If you think you might be able to help please send us a message. You will be helping young people work towards a Level 1 certificate and gain valuable work experience 👌🏼

Our team based in Workington are currently in week 1 and have a few spots left on their May-August team. If you or anyone you know are 16-25 and currently unemployed or out of education please get in touch for more details and immediate start.

We have our May Kings Trust team well on the way in Carlisle. As part of their 12 week programme the students have to do a voluntary work placement. We are looking for any businesses that could help us with work placements between Monday 29th June to Friday 10th July. If you can assist at all please message us.

Team 1 have harvested all the produce our previous team in Carlisle planted in June, and have now planted Kale seeds to be ready to donate to various places at Christmas. Homemade green tomato chutney is on the way! They will soon be moving onto creating some festive pallets so watch this space!🎄⭐️

After delivering a free lunch alongside Friends and Supporters Carlisle Sea Cadets at Currock Community Centre. The young people in Team 1 have been creating Halloween pallets to donate to Lister Day Centre for adults with learning disabilities to enjoy during their Halloween activities next week. Well done Team!

This week the young people from Team 1 prepared some homemade butterfly cakes, rice crispy cakes and some rocky road to take to Currock Community Centre to deliver a free lunch with Friends and Supporters Carlisle Sea Cadets as a part of their community project. Thank you for having us!🌞

We are always asked why the residential takes place in week 2 when the young people haven’t got to know each other yet, but it is because of exactly that! The young people bond during those 4 days away, they learn how to work together and trust one another. Team 1 is off to an excellent start to their community project at Friends and Supporters Carlisle Sea Cadets we can’t wait to show you what they have been up to!
