We’re situated in the heart of Cumbrian market town, Workington, close to the River Derwent.

This week our wonderful residents have enjoyed various activiies including some Nigerian arts and craft 🇳🇬 (Many thanks go to our wonderful resident Alan who has made some Nigerian hats) 💕A few of our residents wanted a Dolly Parton afternoon and thats what they got. (Many thanks go to our wonderful resident Joe who played Kenny Rogers) 🎤🎶 other activities have included a hymns morning singalong, a lunch outing, pampering sessions including nails and hand massages 💅 💕 quiz and dominoes tournament and the winner was Joe for the fourth time🏆redidents have had some one to ones and plenty of sing along and dancing. Our residents have had a great time as you can see from their happy smiling faces 😀💕

On Thursday morning we had a old time favorites sing along and dance 🎶 In the afternoon we had the wonderful Sasha come to entertain us, our residents thought she was fabulous and enjoyed singing along and dancing to her songs🎤 🎵 🎼 On Friday morning we had the Beatles music bingo and the winners received prizes, they also enjoyed singing along to some of the beatles number 1 hits. Our residents have had a great few days 😀💕

This week our wonderful residents wanted a Elvis Presley day, so thats what they got, they have enjoyed the history of Elvis, 2 x quizzes and a good sing along and dance to his music. we even had little Fraya enjoying the fun🪘 🎤 🎸 other activities have included a lunch outing, famous August birthdays👍😀 dominoes tournament and (Joe has been the winner for three weeks) 🏆they have also enjoyed quiz tournaments, armchair exercises. Hymns morning and this day in history📃and some one to ones 😍 Our residents have had a great time 😀💕

Our wonderful residence have enjoyed entertainer Sasha come a long and sing a variety of songs for us as well as Layla and young Alec, our residents thought they were all fantastic 🎶😍other activities have included a lunch outing, musical bingo and the winners received prizes 👍😀 the history of cowboys and cowgirls of the past, country music afternoon, one to ones, meaningful engagement with key to me, quiz tournaments, this day in history📃 📄 not forgetting plenty of singalong and dancing 🎶💃 Our residents have had a great time 😀💕

Do you enjoy bringing joy to others? Could you spare a few hours each week to make a real difference?
We’re looking for a friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to help brighten the days of our residents. In this rewarding role, you might:
✅ Support trips and outings
✅ One to one befriending and building friendships
✅ Helping to keep our care home gardens looking beautiful for our residents
✅ Lend a hand to our activity coordinator
✅ Share a skill—like music, crafts, flower arranging, or storytelling
You’ll meet new people, build meaningful connections, and become part of a vibrant, caring community.

This week our wonderful residents have enjoyed going into town, a lunch outing🍔 😋 dominoes and quiz tournaments, the winner of our dominoes tournament was Joe for the second time running 🏆they have also enjoyed pampering sessions💅including hand massages, this day in history, a tasting session🍰 rock and roll memories, hymns morning, one to ones and plenty of singalong and dancing 🎶💃 Our residents have had a great time as you can see by their happy smiling faces.😀💕
