It’s national allotments week. There theme is “grow to learn”.
Gardening teaches team work, patience, perseverance, problem solving, as well as learning about fruit, veggies and nature!
In adults I’ve really seen how it helps with depression and anxiety. To grow something is to believe in the future as it takes nurture and hope.
If you’ve never grown anything before one of the best things is to plant spring bulbs! There is no better way to lift your spirits than to see the bright yellow of a crocus poking through the cold earth in early spring! It’s food for the soul!
Getting growing! Message me if you need any advice on where to start!
