Check out this fantastic competition from our friends at the NHS! 🏥✨

The 'Rainbow for Research' art and poetry competition is looking for creative work inspired by health research topics like mental health, physiotherapy, dementia, and dietetics. The theme is "Hope for Research".

🌟 This is a brilliant opportunity for our children to show off their creative talents and learn a bit about health research at the same time.

🎨 Children can create an A4 piece of art or write a short poem (10 lines or less).
🏆 There are £50 shopping vouchers to be won!
🖼️ The winning artwork will be displayed across Herefordshire and Worcestershire!

This competition is open to ALL ages and abilities. You can even submit group entries!

📅 Closing date: 1st September 2026 – so there’s plenty of time over the summer holidays to get creative!

📧 Entries can be emailed, posted, or dropped off at local hubs (including Ronkswood Hub, Warndon Hub, and Worcester Library). All the details are in the leaflet below 👇.

Don’t forget to include the child’s name, age, and a parent’s contact details on the entry. For some extra inspiration, you can look at last year's winners on the NHS website link listed in the image.

🏫 First Day Back: Wednesday 2nd September 2026

🎸 Our school hall was absolutely rocking yesterday! 🎸

A massive well done to all our brilliant Rocksteady bands who performed in their end-of-term concert.

Standing up on stage to play an instrument or sing in front of a packed room of classmates and parents takes serious guts, but every single child absolutely smashed it. From the first drumbeat to the final chord, the talent and energy were incredible.

🏅 Year 3 and Year 4 Sports Day Success! 🏅

Our fantastic Year 3 and Year 4 students had their turn on the track yesterday, and what a brilliant, action-packed afternoon it was!

For many of our lower Key Stage 2 pupils, this was a fantastic opportunity to showcase their growing athletic skills, and they certainly didn't disappoint. From lightning-fast sprints to fun teamwork challenges, the energy on the field was absolutely electric.

We are so incredibly proud of how well our Year 3 and 4 children represented the school. You are all absolute champions! 🏆

🏆 What an incredible afternoon of sport! 🏆

Yesterday, our fantastic Year 5 and Year 6 students took to the field for their annual Sports Day, and they absolutely blew us away with their energy, determination, and amazing team spirit!

From the starting whistle of the sprints to the nail-biting finishes in the relays, every single student gave it their all.

We are incredibly proud of all our Year 5 and 6 superstars. You represented our school values beautifully! 🏅

We are delighted to share some fantastic free community events happening right across Worcester during the summer holidays! From pop-up play sessions to exciting youth days, there is plenty on offer to keep everyone active and having fun.

Here is a quick guide to what’s coming up:

🎈 Summer Pop-Up Events (Perfect for Primary School Ages!)
These fun, informal pop-up play sessions are returning to local neighborhoods. Please note these outdoor sessions are weather-dependent!

Tuesday 21st July: Dent Close, Worcester | 10:30am – 12:00pm

Tuesday 4th August: Oak View Way (Lower Playground), Ashford Road | 11:00am – 12:30pm

Tuesday 18th August: Cranham Drive, Warndon (on the grass by blocks 118–152) | 11:00am – 12:30pm

⚡ Youth Days & Teen Events (Great for older siblings & Year 6 leavers!)

If you have older children (ages 12+), there are some brilliant dedicated youth events scheduled:

Wednesday 5th August: Fun Day at Perdiswell Young People’s Leisure Club | 11:00am – 4:00pm

Tuesday 18th August: Rooftop Takeover at Level 8, Friary Walk Car Park | 6:00pm – 10:00pm

Thursday 20th August: Youth Day at Ronkswood Playing Field / Hub | 1:00pm – 4:00pm

For the Youth Days (30th July & 20th August), eligible HAF (Holiday Activities and Food) families can register for a free lunch!
