Can't bring myself to shut the page down yet! All our little darlings have settled well into their new school roles and new pre schools they have gone to. Nice to be able to see and chat with parents old and new and still getting calls for places! May have to start up a morning private home pre school!! Don't think hubby would be too impressed! Lol

Well! Said we would go out with a bang and boy did we! So many parents from present day, going back to years ago sending messages of support and love to us all. Don't know where to start on thanking our present time parents and children.....you are truly amazing, generous people, who we know will be friends for ever! Like someone once said 'once your in the pre school family, your in!' Thank you so much for all your gifts and kind, supportive words. Thank you to the children now in primary school, who have popped in over the last few days with gifts and cards from their parents. Thank you to my fantastic loving family without whom I could not have achieved so much and then when I thought I was in control they all arrived at pre school today with my 96 year old mum!!!! With gifts for us all, arranged as a surprise by Gem and Claire my gorgeous daughters, to celebrate with parents, children and staff, love them soooo much. And finally but not least my fantastic, loving, caring, professional staff, Caren Instan, Angie Hine, Karen Wood, we have had so many great times, filled with love, laughter and learning, friends for ever, couldn't have done it without you!
This may be the end of Pre school, but I may keep the page open for a while to enable us to share our happy times. X # # # # # #

Well, we are on the final 2 weeks of the existence of our fabulous, professional, caring group. Lots to do, people to thank, but most importantly we remain focused in seeng our children through into school, as it should be! Audit completed and passed with flying colours! It's going to get tearful, that's only to be expected but my word we are going out with a bang!

As most of you already know now we will be closing our doors for the last time on Friday 19th July 2019. We have to sort all our resources both inside and out. If you would like to purchase anything we have in the garden area which we spent a lot of money setting up from the original open plan !!! Lol or inside please feel free to pop in. Some of the furniture and outdoor things are allocated.....(as we can't let it go until nearer the time we finish) some items we have are scooters, bikes, rockers, pushchairs, balance beams, stepping stones, bags of balls, bats, plastic Wendy house, slide with small climbing tower, inside we have duplicate Lego trains and track, brio. Wooden trains and track, poppies, threading, maths resources, constructors straw, Thomas the tank trains in case ....the list goes on! After resourcing for over 30 years we have accumulated a lot of books, dressing up, musical instruments etc., Pop in to see if you would to have your name put on something.

Well here we go, the last 7 weeks of Henwick Playgroup/Early Learners Pre School . A very sad time for us all. I can make this post now as I have written to all the parents/carers on our waiting list and spoke to some of you personally to let you know that as from end of the summer we will be closing our doors for good. For those of you that haven't heard, the governors have put out to tender the room from which we operate from as they want a full-day care facility. I had previously been asked to consider this but I haven't the resources to make the room/setup how I would want/need to provide this as a viable facility. We have a busy term preparing the children for their transition into school in September so intend to keep that as our main focus. We are all excited about our closing down celebrations with families and friends old and new. We will be selling a lot of our furniture, resources, toys and games including our outdoor area items, Playhouse, shed etc., so watch this space for times and dates. Onwards and upwards!!! Thank you all for your very kind words and support you have given me and the girls over the last few months, we do appreciate it. Busy term ahead, under the sea, growing, capacity and weight to name but few areas we are covering.

Such a busy term I haven't had time to post lately. The children are developing nicely into individual, confident, happy enthusiastic little people. Chinese New Year was a great success; pancake day a must and many pancakes decorated and eaten! Now we're busy with Mark making and finding out about animals and their babies, lots of cutting, sticking and painting. Now to get busy and make our mums a lovely prezzy and card.........what shall Easter bring? Cooking and more learning!
