IMPORTANT UPDATE

As of January 1, 2025, Gambia Building Project has closed.

Thanks to all our generous donors for their support over the past 20 years.

CONTAINER ON TRACK

As many of our social media followers know, WMM regularly send containers full of useful items to The Gambia as part of the Gambia Building Project initiative.

Sometimes these containers reach West Africa within three weeks and at other times they seem to take much longer.

When the container is collected, we are given the name of the container ship and are able to contact the shipping agent for updates.

WMM director Dave went for a lazy weekend sailing with a friend who showed him an app that can track all marine vessels.

The app is pretty nifty though Dave did wonder why the container ship sailed past The Gambia to go to Abu Dhabi…

We often get asked by other people when the container with the items they donated will arrive but we can only give a positive response if those items are in the container we hired.

HITTING THE GROUND RUNNING We hope our followers and Gambia Building Project supporters enjoy this short video of the mats we sent over in the last container. GOODS TO GAMBIA PART ONE

Dave’s wife and fellow WMM director Sue keeps telling him that at his age he should be slowing down. His argument is: If you stop using it you lose it!

Last month Dave arranged for a container to be delivered so that we could send the school equipment we had collected to The Gambia.

Here is the container arriving at the field where donations are stored.
