🐣 Chick Update! 🐣

What an exciting couple of days it has been! We’re delighted to share that we now have 9 feathery friends happily chirping away. The pupils have loved watching them hatch and seeing them begin to fluff up and explore their new home.

It’s been a fantastic hands-on way to learn about the life cycle, and there has been lots of excitement around school as each new chick arrived.

🤞 Fingers crossed for the last one — we’re all waiting patiently and hoping it will hatch soon!

🐣 Exciting Update from Our Living Eggs! 🐣

We’re delighted to share that our first chick hatched this morning! The pupils were so excited to witness the start of this amazing moment as one of Eggs began to hatch.

Over the next few days we’re hoping to see more chicks arrive as part of our two-week learning experience about the life cycle. It’s already been a fantastic hands-on learning opportunity and a very special moment for everyone in school.

We’re excited to welcome our Living Eggs into school! Over the next two weeks, pupils will experience the magic of watching chicks hatch while learning all about the life cycle.

This fantastic programme brings hands-on learning across the curriculum and lots of excitement for the whole school. We can’t wait to see the chicks hatch! 🐥

As part of our World Book Day today the children enjoyed a special visit from a guest author during assembly.

We were delighted to welcome local author Adam Claxton, a parent here at Rushwick, who read his recently self-published children’s book Daddy’s Magic Blood. The story shares Adam’s personal journey with blood cancer and carries a powerful message about love, hope, healing, and how the support of family and loved ones helps us through difficult times.

A big thank you to Adam and Jo for taking the time to visit us and share his inspiring story with the children. 💙📖

🎶 Young Voices – This Evening! 🎶

Our children are having an amazing time this evening as they take part in Young Voices! 🌟

They are singing their hearts out alongside thousands of other pupils, performing as part of the world’s largest school choir. The atmosphere is incredible, and the excitement is building.

We are so proud of our children for their enthusiasm, commitment, and confidence — what a fantastic experience for them all! 💙🎤
