📢 Cadbury World Trip – Friday 21st August 🍫
Just a reminder that our Cadbury World trip is going ahead this Friday, 21st August!

⏰ All children need to be at the Worcester setting by 8:00am. We will be leaving promptly, so please make sure your child has had breakfast before arriving.

🥪 Lunch: Please send your child in with a packed lunch in a rucksack, plus two drinks.
⚠️ There will be no Lisa or Ellie lunches available on this day, so you must provide a lunchbox for your child.

💷 Spending money: Children are welcome to bring spending money (Cadbury World can be quite expensive!). Please put the money in a named envelope and hand it to a member of staff on arrival.

☀️ HOT WEATHER UPDATE ☀️

With the very hot weather, we just wanted to reassure parents that Sunflowers will remain OPEN as normal! 🌻💛

We’re fortunate to have plenty of ways to keep the children cool, comfortable and safe throughout the day, including:

💨 Fans throughout the club
💦 Water fights & water play during periods of low UV and in shaded areas
🧊 Ice poles to help everyone cool down
🥤 Plenty of opportunities and reminders to drink, drink, drink!
🌳 Activities adapted throughout the day to avoid strenuous play during the hottest periods

We know how difficult unexpected closures can be for working parents, so unless circumstances change and we feel we can no longer operate safely, we have no plans to close due to the heat.

Please make sure children arrive with suncream already applied, a refillable water bottle and suitable lightweight clothing. ☀️

We’ll keep a close eye on the children and the temperature throughout the day and adapt what we’re doing whenever needed.

And, of course… we’re sure the children won’t complain about an excuse for water fights and ice poles! 😂💦🍦
