King's Worcester King's Worcester is a dynamic & supportive Senior School & Sixth Form, for children ages 11 to 18.

The King’s School, Worcester, consists of three, thriving, independent day schools, two Prep and one Senior. Together, they make up one of the leading educational establishments in Worcestershire for boys and girls aged 2 – 18. There are 930 pupils at the senior school and a further 520 in two Prep Schools; King's St Alban's and King's Hawford. It is one of the leading academic foundations in the West Midlands and offers an outstanding educational experience. Congratulations to OVs Phoebe Brett (Cl 24–26) and Bryony Gillgrass (Cl 19–26 and Old Hawfordian), who have both been selected for the England Women U19 squad! 🏏🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Phoebe returns to the England U19 World Cup set-up having been part of the 2025 squad. She currently plays for Warwickshire Women and has also played for Birmingham Phoenix in The Hundred for the past two years.

Bryony captained the England U19s earlier this year in the tri-series and earns her first World Cup call-up, marking another significant step in her cricketing career following her recent professional debut for Essex.

The 15-player squad will take part in England’s biggest-ever winter programme, beginning with training camps in the UK before travelling to India for a five-match T20 series in November and December 2026. The squad will then remain in India for a further week of outdoor preparation ahead of the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup in Nepal and Bangladesh in January and February 2027.

Both selections reflect the hard work and commitment Phoebe and Bryony have put into their cricket, and it’s fantastic to see two OVs reach this level of the game together.

A group of 12 Lower Sixth Geography students headed to Minehead for a three-day fieldwork trip, putting their classroom learning into practice across the diverse coastal landscapes of Somerset.

From Minehead to Porlock and Watchet, students collected primary data, investigated coastal defences and processes, and explored how each place has been shaped by the people who live, work and visit there.
Alongside the fieldwork, there was plenty of time to enjoy the surroundings, some excellent food and even a spot of beach cricket!

A fantastic few days of learning, exploring and developing their understanding of coastal and place-based geography.

Last week, we gathered for a particularly special Evensong, marking the Installation of our Deputy Heads and the Admission of King’s Scholars.

The service was beautifully accompanied by our talented choristers, who sang throughout the service, adding a wonderful sense of occasion to this important moment in the school calendar.

It was a memorable service and a chance for our school community to come together to celebrate these significant milestones.

Congratulations to all those involved, and a special well done to our choristers for their wonderful contribution.

A huge congratulations to Lower Remove pupil Ted C, who won two silver medals at the Swim Wales Welsh National Swimming Championships, finishing second in both the 800m and 1500m freestyle. 🏊

His fantastic performances have also earned him selection for the Swim England West Midlands Regional Development Programme for 2026–27 - one of just 24 boys selected from across the region.

A fantastic achievement and a testament to Ted’s hard work and dedication. Congratulations, Ted! 👏

Yesterday, all four of our winter 1st teams hosted the first-round fixtures in their National competitions.

There was plenty of competitive sport on show, with our teams putting in some excellent performances and recording some impressive scorelines. 👏
