Babies enjoyed taking part in story time in the woods, the children were encouraged to take a bear down in to our woods to read “There were ten in the bed” story.

The children listened carefully and sang along to one of their favourite rhymes/story.

A lovely circle time supporting their communication and language and their Personal,social and emotional skills.

We have created Nursery passports designed to capture each child’s unique journey with us.

From their first days in Hatchlings, through Fledglings and into Explorers, the passport will celebrate their learning, development, achievements, friendships, interests and special memories along the way.

Dinosaur trouble!

Uh oh 😯 Preschool got themselves in a bit of a muddle trying to walk the plank across dinosaur infested water.

Never mind we got to show off our gross motor skills 💪

In baby room we have been focussing on helping hands following on from children’s interests they are always so happy to help the adults with finding there own shoes, putting toys away and helping put our grocery shopping in the fridge.

This activity supported children’s independence with washing the flannels in cool bubbly water and hanging them out to dry.

Great teamwork 💪

All members of staff at Abberley House Nursery are Paediatric First Aid trained.
On Saturday a couple of members of the team had their refresher training.

We are putting together a couple of posters with really important information such as how to perform CPR on a baby/child, what to do if your child is choking, you will find these in the learning hub soon.
