It is increasingly common for children under the age of 5 to access the internet. As a responsible adult, it is essential to acknowledge both the advantages and potential risks associated with online usage. Please refer to the accompanying poster for valuable information on Online Safety and guidance on promoting responsible device use among children.

The weeks seem to be flying by at the moment, with lots of lovely activities happening throughout the nursery.
Last week Little Learners and Little Adventurers have enjoyed all enchanted activities filled with lots of magical moments!
They had got creative having their own Zog day where they made their own Zogs using paper plates and card! They also enjoyed a big Zog sensory tuft tray with orange rice.
They especially enjoyed fairies this week too. They had a glitter mark making activity which involved the children copying the letters displayed in front of them. This gave them an excellent opportunity to work on their fine motor skills and hand eye coordination with letter formations.
They also enjoyed many tuft trays with fairy houses where the children used their creative communication and language with each other. They enjoyed role playing with the fairies and showed great imagination in making up stories.
We have really enjoyed this magical week exploring different elements of the enchanted world! πͺπ§ββοΈ

Little Learners enjoying lots of fun activities. They have loved the new equipment in the garden including the stage and wooden car, using their imaginations to role play journeys to the seaside. ποΈ They've enjoyed getting creative with the paint and creating some master pieces. Making ice-creams using shaving cream, pom poms for sprinkles and cones enabled the children to make their own personalised ice-creams, exactly how they wanted them, don't they look delicious π

What a fabulous celebration for the end of year prom for our school leavers! It was an emotional time for staff, but a fabulous time for the children, who danced, had glitter tattoos, ate party food, and celebrated in style with games. They all looked amazing, and thank you, parents/carers, for making such an effort with the outfits. It will be sad to see them leave, but they are more than ready for the next chapter of life when they start school in September.
We wish them all the success and every happiness possible, exciting times ahead.

Little Movers enjoying a wonderful sensory and exploratory water play activity using water jugs, orange slices, and lemon slices.
Through this simple yet engaging experience, the children were developing a wide range of important skills. As they poured water between the jugs, they strengthened their hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and control of movement. They also began to explore early mathematical concepts such as full and empty, more and less.
Adding the orange and lemon slices encouraged the children to use their senses as they observed the colours, textures, scents, and how the fruit floated in the water. This sparked curiosity, language development, and opportunities for new vocabulary as we talked about what we could see, smell, and feel.
Water play is a fantastic way for young children to explore, discover, and develop essential skills in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. ππ

Last day of term π
Today will be the last day for many at Fairfield Day Nursery as they leave to begin their next chapter at School in September. It's always an emotional time to see our children and families leave but also a privilege to have seen the children grow, develop and thrive. The children and their families will always be a part of the Fairfield Family π
To our wonderful children and families,
It's time to say goodbye.
What a joy it has been to watch you grow,
To laugh, to learn, and to fly.
From first little smiles and tiny hands,
To confident steps each day,
We've been so proud to share your journey
As you've learned through work and play.
To our families, thank you kindly
For your trust, support, and care.
For every smile, every chat,
And the moments we could share.
To our children, keep believing,
Be curious, kind, and brave.
Carry your laughter wherever you go,
And treasure the memories we've made.
Though you'll be moving on now
To exciting adventures new,
A little piece of our hearts
Will always belong to you.
So as you spread your wings and soar,
Remember this is trueβ
You will always be remembered,
And we will always be proud of you.
With love and best wishes,
From all the team at Fairfield Day Nursery ππ
