Favourite memory: every academy show where i got to share the stage with my best friend’s whilst feeding off the audiences adrenaline.

Tap Workshop with Nathan James

Ready for an hour of rhythm, energy, and pure joy?

Nathan is known for one thing above all, his tap ability and natural flair. It's his true passion, and he rarely goes anywhere without his tap shoes tucked in his bag, especially if there's dance involved!

Ask anyone who's worked with him and they'll tell you he can barely resist the urge to pop them on and have a little tap. That same enthusiasm and energy makes every session feel like a celebration of the art form, not just a class.

Nathan is also one of our very own Company Directors, so this workshop is a rare chance to train with someone who's just as invested in your journey as you are.

Alongside all of this, Nathan is currently Deputy Artistic Director (Education) at the Royal Academy of Dance, where he devised the brand-new RAD Musical Theatre syllabus and has just returned from delivering it to teachers in Canada, but in the room, it's his rhythm and love of tap that dancers remember most.

This is a workshop built for dancers who want to fall in love with sound and storytelling through their feet.

Venue: MAC — held in the theatre, not a studio!
Date: Tuesday 25 August
Session length: 60 minutes (time TBC)
