King’s St Alban’s School, in the heart of historic Worcester, is a Pre-Preparatory and Prep School for boys and girls aged from 4 to 11. The facility is located next to the main King’s Senior School and Worcester Cathedral, on the banks of the River Severn. King’s St Alban’s provides primary education for boys and girls aged 4 to 11 and although located close to the city centre, has a recently refurbished, enclosed, outdoor playing area, offering children a range of environments for both playing and learning. The school has a key focus not only on academic performance but also encourages pupils to excel in sport, music, and art. King’s St Alban's has extensive playing fields, a sports hall, and a 25-metre indoor swimming pool. Runners from across the King’s Foundation came together at the Winterfold Cross Country event earlier this week, with some fantastic performances across the board. 👏

The Junior Girls team from King’s Worcester were outstanding, finishing 1st out of nine teams to bring the trophy home! Nell took individual silver, with Thea E close behind in bronze after a thrilling finish. All six girls finished in the top 18 in a field of more than 50 runners.

The Junior Boys also put in a brilliant team performance, finishing 2nd out of nine teams, with George P-W taking 5th and Oliver G 8th.

There were also excellent individual performances from across the Foundation, with King’s St Alban’s finishing 3rd overall in the girls’ competition and Amber C taking an impressive 3rd place in the U11 girls’ race, while King’s Hawford’s Cassian W finished 3rd in the U12 boys’ race.🏅

A brilliant day of running and a fantastic effort from pupils across all three schools. Well done to everyone who took part! 🌟

This morning, our school community came together in the beautiful setting of Worcester Cathedral for our Harvest Festival Assembly, a wonderful opportunity to pause, reflect and give thanks for the many things we are fortunate to share.

We were treated to some beautiful readings from Iris, Poppy and George, who spoke with confidence and warmth, while our Pre-Prep children filled the Cathedral with their wonderful singing.

We were also incredibly grateful for the generous Harvest donations from families across our school community. These will be donated to Maggs Day Centre, helping to support their important work within our wider local community. Thank you to everyone who contributed so generously.

A special thank you to Dr Dorsett for his thoughtful and wise words, which gave us plenty to reflect upon and reminded us of the importance of kindness, generosity and looking out for others.

It was a truly special morning and a lovely reflection of the caring and generous spirit that makes our school community so wonderful. 💙

King’s Prep Swimming Academy.🏊‍♂️

Joint early-morning swimming sessions have begun for Year 5 and 6 pupils from King’s Hawford and King’s St Alban’s, led by Mr Jenkinson, Head of Swimming.

The Academy, which is by invitation, gives pupils the opportunity to train together in the on-site 25m pool, developing their strength, speed, stamina and race skills.

Starting at 7.30am before the school day, sessions include race skills, dives, relay changeovers and mixed relay training, while preparing for upcoming ESSA and IAPS competitions.

It’s also a great opportunity to make new friends across the two Prep schools and begin preparing them for the Senior Swimming Academy.

A fantastic opportunity for our young swimmers to train, compete and progress together!
