It was a messy one today at holiday club, at one point I looked down to find paint on my foot! πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ but it was a sign of the great fun we had painting like the impressionists, as we took inspiration from Monet's famous water lily paintings. Amazing results as always! Well done to my talented young artists, for giving it such enthusiasm, and for your fantastic paintings! 🎨

A closer look at the fab sea turtles created today! I forgot to photograph Sophie's artwork, which was just as amazing as these. Created in under 2 hours, by young artists aged 7-11, using a variety of watercolour techniques! πŸ‘

Fantastic sea turtles created with watercolour techniques today, made by my brilliant young artists πŸ‘ aren't they great?! We used wet on wet and colour gradient techniques, as well as oil pastel wax resist. Next week is the last chance to join me for the summer β˜€οΈ as we create Monet-inspired acrylic paintings. I have space left on the 21st, so please get in touch if you'd like to book! 🎨

It's been a little quiet on here as we have been away in beautiful Wales! Here are some pics of our trip that would make great paintings πŸ–Ό If you have emailed me and I am yet to get back to you please give me a nudge.
Details of the remaining children's clubs will follow soon!

Line and wash watercolour boats, created a few weeks ago at Inkberrow art club. We used loose watercolour washes to add colour and value, before sketching line with either pen or sticks and Indian ink ⛡️

A round-up of just some of the amazing artworks made this week at holiday club. I love how the same reference images, instructions, and demonstrations lead to such unique artworks! I love to leave room for imagination and experimentation in all of my sessions, and with my young artists in particular, I can never predict the choices they might make or details they will imagine, which is so exciting! A big well done and thank you to everyone who took part, I hope to see you again in August πŸ˜ƒπŸŽ¨πŸ‘

Fun at with some fab young artists, this time creating dandelion clocks using brusho, masking fluid and pens. The children showed great listening, sharing and patience as they completed their work this morning, with some even finishing early and painting a colour wheel to take home! I was even gifted two drawings which now hang pride of place in my home workshop 😊
