We wanted to say a huge thank you to all of our lovely staff, families and children for an amazing cake sale yesterday afternoon 🍰

We had so many beautiful cakes donated and raised £218 ✨

All donations will be going to a family in need close to our sister setting in Badsey 💜

What a magical nurture time some of our children had this week✨

From finding the secret images, words and letters using white wax crayons and water colours to making magical potions inspired by one of our favourite stories, Zog and the Flying Doctors ✨

A massive thank you to all of you who came to join our school leavers graduation party this afternoon 💜

We hope you enjoyed celebrating all the achievements and progress your children have made over their journey at Poppins 💜

It has been such a privilege to watch your children grow, learn, and blossom during their time with us. We are so proud of each and every one of them and grateful that you trusted us to be part of their early years 💜

Our story house focus for the next couple of weeks is based on the book The Colour Monster ⚫️⚪️🟤

Children have lots of big feelings that they sometimes don’t fully understand. This is a great way to explore them through fun and engaging invitations to play 🟢🔵🟣

For our mindfulness enrichment the children were invited to express themselves using various mark making tools to create our very own colour monster. Whilst doing this they talked about what feelings the colours could represent and were able to widen their vocabulary 🟡🟠🔴

We are so saddened to hear of the recent closure of another local nursery. Our hearts go out to the children, families, and staff affected during a difficult time.

As a local childcare provider, we believe in supporting our community wherever we can. We have received a high number of enquiries and have luckily been able to accommodate a few families so far.

Our main objective with our mindfulness enrichment today was to stay cool, calm and collected 😌

The nestlings were invited to create transient art using a variety of loose parts arranged around mandala templates. Natural and open ended materials were available to help support creativity, concentration and self expression ✨

Alongside this, they have been exploring an iced coffee sensory tray which allowed for lots of imaginative role play and sensory investigation 🧊

Mud play provides a rich sensory experience that helps children learn, grow, and develop in a fun and natural environment.

It’s a wonderful holistic activity for children helping support their physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.

Mud play also encourages creativity and imagination, allowing children to explore, experiment, and solve problems in an open-ended way.

Being outdoors and connecting with nature can reduce stress, boost mood, and support emotional well-being.

What an amazing day we all had at attwellfarmpark yesterday for our annual summer trip ✨

We spent lots of time meeting all the wonderful animals including goats, ferrets and even a hairy tarantula. We enjoyed every moment from the giant bouncy pillows to becoming pirates in the sandpit. We even had time for a run around the soft play before heading back to nursery🐮

This week we have been busy celebrating our trusty pollinator - the bumble bee 🐝

Did you know bumblebees are an essential part of our wildlife and we have 24 species in the UK. They work hard pollinating a wide variety of plants and agricultural crops 🌱

We have been exploring a range of messy and sensory invitations to play including rice, jelly, paint and pasta. We even made some of own pinecone bees to decorate nursery to celebrate World Bee Day 🐝
