I hope the first week back to school has gone well for everyone. We made the most of the sunshine and had a phonics session outside this weekend - so much you can do with a few pieces of chalk!

If you’re looking for some tutoring in reading, writing or maths for EYFS and Key Stage 1 please don’t hesitate to message me as I have some weekend availability at the moment.

We made some natural paint brushes to do some mud painting with yesterday. Kept us entertained for a few hours (and also really good for developing gross and fine motor skills needed for writing)!

Super simple game to practise sound recognition and spelling: draw around your hands and feet on a large sheet of paper to create a dance mat and stick on sounds written on post its. Call out different sounds for your child to stamp on or tap. You can also get them to spell short words too. Set to music and it becomes so much more than just a phonics lesson!

Lots of fun tutoring phonics this morning - even if the weather meant we had to be inside!
