We had lots of lovely feedback last year that having all our PTA dates in one place was really helpful, so we’ve done it again! 👆

We’ve been listening to your feedback and requests, and we’re trying a few different things this year - some familiar favourites, some new events and a few changes too.

This year, the school has asked for our help to enhance its creative and practical learning resources. Our fundraising will help refresh and expand the school’s Art, Design & Technology and Food Technology equipment and materials, giving pupils more opportunities to create, design, make and develop practical skills. 💛

We’d love to keep hearing your thoughts too. If you’ve got feedback, an idea for an event or fundraiser, or something you’d like the PTA to consider, drop us a DM or send us an email. We’re also working on a new online feedback form to make it even easier to share your ideas - watch this space! 👀

🌈 Does your child fall apart when they get home from school?

They may have spent all day holding it together - managing rules, noise, learning, friendship and big feelings.

Home is where they feel safe enough to let go. 💛

Tears, anger, shutdown or overwhelm aren’t “bad behaviour” - they can be signs that their emotional cup is empty.

Try:
✨ connection before correction
✨ Quiet time and a snack
✨ Fewer demands
✨ Calm, reassuring words

They are not giving you a hard time - they may be having a hard time. ❤️

The PTA is an independent charity run by a group of parents who volunteer their time to help organise events and raise additional funds for the school, and we’re delighted to welcome three new faces to the team this year 🥳

When we shared our Meet The Team post last year we had some lovely feedback that it was helpful to be able to put faces to names, so we’ve updated it for the new school year 😁👋🏻

You’re the best!

🤩🙌 £9,429.15 raised for Broadheath CE Primary School this year! 🥳🤯

To say we are absolutely blown away by the support we’ve received this year would be an understatement 🥹

Thank you to every single person who has donated their time, energy, skills, prizes, resources or simply turned up to support our events. A huge thank you also goes to our wonderful school staff for giving up their evenings and weekends to help make everything possible. And of course, thank you to our incredible Broadheath families and the wider community - we genuinely couldn’t do it without you. 🩵

To put this into perspective, we’ve raised more than DOUBLE our average annual fundraising total! 😱

Thanks to your generosity, we’ve been able to fund so many extras that the school just wouldn’t otherwise be able to provide. Every pound raised goes directly back into creating better opportunities and experiences for our children, and seeing the difference it makes is exactly why we do what we do.

From all of us on the PTA - thank you. Here’s to another fantastic year of supporting our amazing school! 💙

Can we just say a MAHOOSIVE thank you to our fabulous Broadheath PTA. We’ve been very lucky to have such a supportive PTA for many years, but they didn’t have the support and the team like our current PTA do.
They have been able to raise an incredible amount, I think around £8000 has been raised this year which is MADNESS!

Huge thank you to the team,their children and husbands who get dragged in, but also to our amazing Broadheath CE Primary School family who support each and every event.

🌼🎶 KIDFEST SUMMER DISCO - WEDNESDAY 20TH MAY 🎶🌼

Get ready for a summer school disco packed with feel-good tunes and festival vibes! ☀️🌈

🕺 KS1: 5pm-6pm
💃 KS2: 6.15pm-7.15pm

£3 per child - cash or card accepted

We’re excited to welcome back the brilliant Dazzles, who always put on an amazing disco for the children 🎧✨

There’ll be plenty to enjoy on the night, so don’t forget to send your child with a little spending money if you can:

Wow! We are so grateful for all of your support and the PTA’s continued efforts to raise money. You have no idea how much this will help us. We have struggled with laptops for such a long time- this is like a lottery win! 🥳

⭐️Huge thank you to you all and a massive shoutout to the PTA ⭐️

🎉 We did it! Phase 1 complete! 🎉

Thanks to your incredible support, we’ve officially hit (and beaten!) our ICT fundraising goal for this academic year!! 🥳

💻 21 new laptops delivered to Broadheath CE Primary School (15 pupil laptops and 6 teaching laptops)

Including the 4 iPads that PTA funded last summer, that’s a total of 25 new devices for the school in the past 12 months 🤯

That means we’ve absolutely SMASHED our target of 20 devices this year 👏

The impact of this just can’t be overstated - it will make a real difference to both the children’s learning and the staff’s ability to teach effectively. The new pupil laptops mean:

• Every class can now work at a minimum of 1 laptop between 2 pupils
• Some smaller classes can now access 1 laptop per child (with refurbished devices included)

🙏 Thank you to every single person who supported events, donated, shared posts, volunteered, match funded or got involved in any way. This genuinely wouldn’t have happened without you.

🚀 What next?
Next year, we’ll be working towards phase 2 of this project; providing higher-spec laptops for KS2, helping prepare pupils ahead of high school.
Research shows the gap between pupils with strong access to technology and those without is still a real issue in education. That means some children start secondary school far more confident with digital skills than others - by investing in devices now, we’re helping make sure Broadheath pupils don’t get left behind.
The current devices are perfect for KS1 and are a great stepping stone, but we want to keep building on this progress 💪

But for now, let's take a moment to appreciate what a brilliant thing we’ve achieved together! Well done Broadheath fam 💙🤩
