Nunnery preschool

This is a bittersweet post to say farewell to NWPS, after 10 years of being part of the community at Ronkswood we are moving down the road to Medway Community Centre and opening Lighthouse Family Centre.

We have loved our time at Ronkswood supporting children and their familes and many of our children are now at highschool.

We will are moving onto pastures new to be able to offer more to enable families to support their children reach their potential.

We hope you can come to our open day at Lighthouse Family Centre on August 16th 2pm - 4pm.

We thank every family, child, staff member past and present, professionals, Ronkswood hub staff members, Paul Edwards Platformhg and the many other people who made NWPS the preschool it was.

Share with us your memories and any pictures to capture 10 years of Early Years care and education amd what it meant for you amd your children.

It's party day and the last day for many of our preschool children tomorrow. Wednesday 9th July.

Come in what ever you want to wear, it's all about having fun tomorrow.

Bring your food to share with each other in the morning
If your didn't get a request, please bring some fruit or anything to share.

Wow, what a most heart warming graduation ceremony today for our school leavers.

It was beautiful from start to finish, a tad emotional. Saying goodbye to family's you have supported for over 10 years it pulls at those heart strings.

We are so proud of you children, fly high and never stop pursuing your dreams.

Graduation day tomorrow -Tuesday 8th July 2025.

Children to come in bright clothes, (not uniform as stated today my appogies, that's my fault).

We will be serving pizza and chips for lunch. NO lunchboxes needed.(unless they don't like pizza and chips)

All parents and family to arrive ready for a 1.30pm prompt start.

Please arrive by the gate by the bins. (NO parking here please)

This marks an end to your children"s preschool journey and the start of a new chapter moving onto primary school.

Please share this with other parents and carers.

For anyone thinking of potty/toilet training over the summer.

The summer holidays is a perfect time to potty train your child.

Preparing for potty training Research says the best time to stop using nappies is between 18 and 30 months - so introducing your child to the potty before 18 months will help make the transition smoother.

This would be a great session for our returning children starting at our new provision in September at Lighthouse Family Centre.

Come along to our free session all about getting ready for preschool or school and preparing for this special time in your childs life.
Come and have some fun, take part in some activities and meet your family hubs team. We will also have some wonderful resources for you to take home and enjoy over the summer

A teddy bear came to preschool today, we were not expecting that !!

The children were suprised to be greeted at our picnic today by our friendly bear.

He was safely walked back to the woods, beware if walking that way today.

Our annual NWPS Mega Messy Day 2025, We have got wet, muddy, covered in paint, got the teachers wet and covered in paint, and generally just had a fantastic morning transporting resources and different materials all over the garden.

What a fabulous mega messy day.

It's almost time for our preschoolers to move onto their next destination- primary school in September.

On Tuesday 8th of July we have our graduation day with an hawaiian theme. Come dressed in your bright clothes for the day.

At 1.30pm we invite you and family members for our graduation ceremony. (Bring your tissues)

This event is monumental and even more so this year with it being the last one to be taking place as Nunnery Wood Preschool.

Bring your Teddy along with you for a day at preschool.

Wednesday 2nd July it's our annual mega messy day.
Please send your child in old clothes as they will get messy and please make sure they have a full change of clothing in their bag.
