🐝 Yesterday we celebrated National Bee Day with a special visit from our local beekeeper.

The children were captivated as they explored the fascinating world of bees through real beekeeping tools, close-up observations and hands-on, practical activities. Together we learnt how important bees are for our plants, food and environment, and how we can help to protect them.

This experience supports child development by encouraging curiosity, developing communication and language skills, strengthening understanding of the natural world, and building early awareness of sustainability and caring for living things.

What a wonderful day of learning and discovery! 🐝🌼🍯

Breakfast Grab & Go’s for our parents 🍓🥐☕️

At Little Lodge Nurseries, we love creating opportunities to connect with our families and build strong partnerships within our nursery community. That’s why we’re delighted to be introducing our monthly Breakfast Grab & Go mornings at both of our nursery sites.

We understand how busy mornings can be, so this is a lovely chance for parents and carers to enjoy a quick breakfast, meet and greet with our team, and take a moment to connect with other families before starting the day.

Breakfast is often called the most important meal of the day, helping to fuel busy minds and bodies, and we’re proud to support our families with these small but meaningful moments together.

We look forward to welcoming you all each month and continuing to create a warm, caring and supportive environment for everyone in our Little Lodge family 💛

What a fantastic hands-on experience our children recently had as part of our curriculum theme at Little Lodge Nursery, Bransford 🍕👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

We were delighted to welcome a chef into nursery, where the children explored the full pizza-making process from start to finish.

They mixed and shaped their own dough, carefully selected their favourite toppings, and watched their pizzas cook in the pizza oven!

Activities like these support children’s independence, creativity, communication skills, and confidence, all while having lots of fun and learning through real-life experiences.

A huge thank you to our visiting chef for such a memorable experience! ✨

As we head into the summer season, we are proud to share that our Worcester nursery has successfully completed its Sun Safe Accreditation ☀️

Keeping children safe in the sun is incredibly important, which is why we are committed to following sun safe guidance every day — from applying sun cream and encouraging regular hydration, to providing shaded outdoor play areas and promoting the use of sun hats.

Creating safe outdoor environments allows children to continue enjoying play, exploration and learning during the warmer months while helping to protect their health and wellbeing. 💛

We were incredibly proud to be one of the main sponsors of the Worcestershire Education Awards 2026 this year. ✨

It was a fantastic evening spent celebrating and supporting the inspiring educators who make such a positive difference to so many lives every single day.

🌟 Supporting Our Chosen Charity 🌟

This year, Little Lodge Nursery is proud to be supporting Malvern Special Families 💙

Across our nurseries, we’ll be holding three key fundraising events throughout the year to help raise money for this incredible charity.

We’re so proud to share that our first events have already raised an amazing £1,300! 🎉

✨ Bransford Nursery organised their own sponsored challenge event, encouraging children to develop their physical skills and counting abilities whilst raising money through sponsorship.

🎨 Worcester Nursery hosted a wonderful Art Expo, where the children proudly displayed and sold their own masterpieces to parents. Families also enjoyed potted plants and delicious snacks available on the day.

A huge thank you to all of our children, families and staff for your support so far — we can’t wait to continue fundraising together throughout the year! 💙

As part of British Science Week, our children at Little Lodge Nursery have been developing important science skills through hands-on exploration and discovery.
From asking questions to predicting outcomes, these experiences help spark curiosity, build rich language, and strengthen cognitive development.

Creating a real buzz of excitement and anticipation encourages children to think critically, solve problems, and make connections between what they discover in nursery and the world around them.
Linking their learning to real-life experiences helps ideas feel meaningful, memorable, and inspires a lifelong love of learning. ✨🔬

Science-based play is so valuable in the early years because it nurtures confidence, independence, communication, and resilience—giving children the foundations they need to become curious, capable learners.

🍕 Little chefs in the making! Recently, some of our preschool children visited Pizza Express as part of our Italy-themed curriculum. 🇮🇹

The children had so much fun rolling, patting, and tossing the dough before adding their very own toppings. Their creations will be cooked on site at Pizza Express and brought back to nursery to share with friends – what a delicious way to bring learning to life! 🌟

This trip wasn’t just fun – it’s fantastic for child development too! Hands-on activities like this support fine motor skills, creativity, teamwork, and independence, while also introducing them to different cultures and experiences.
