We are having an open day on Saturday 11/06/22 and Saturday 09/07/22 for new prospective families who are looking to join us at our setting between now and September 2022.

This is being held by appointment only and we are allocating time slots to families, therefore, if you are interested in attending on either of these dates please email or call us to check availability remaining and we will arrange a time slot for you.

This month in Toddlers we are learning about numbers and counting, we have been enjoying singing lots of number songs and showing lots of curiosity in sorting and counting items in our base room. We will also be collaborating on a Union Jack picture to send to the Queen in a card from our setting as we look forward to celebrating her 70th Jubilee.

In the First Steps room this month we are learning all about our bodies, we will be taking part in lots of sensory activities, signing body part songs, and even using our hands and feet to create special 70 pictures to celebrate the Queen's 70th Jubilee.

This month in Striders we will be learning about all things British in preparation for the Queen's 70th Jubilee, before leading on to learning about People Who Help Us.

In Preschool this month we are learning all about People Who Help Us. We're hoping to even have a special visit or two from some very helpfully services watch this space... This topic is always a favourite of the children and we will discussing which jobs the children might like to do when they grow up.

In Shine room this month our topic is MINI BEASTS. We will be looking at caterpillar chrysalis's, and watching them hatch and turn into the most beautiful butterflies. We have a Butterfly Garden set up ready. This is an exciting topic which will involve lots of debating, sizing, understanding about growth and decay, sharing ideas, looking at the development of our bug hotel and its visitors!
Communication, Physical and Personal-Emotional and Social development are the key in this topic which will enrich your children to experience things they may never have done, touch and discover a whole new world.

Our next topic for April in Shine Room is Easter, we will also be looking at Dinosaurs with real hatching eggs! We will be number hunting with dinosaurs eggs, having fun with egg and spoon races, looking at sizes with comparison and extending Language with new and interesting words.

This month in first steps room our topic is shapes and colours! We will be doing lots of different activities linked to our topic including making a rainbow display and doing lots of colourful painting!

In Shine Room our new topic for March is all about 'People who help us' which will include Police, Paramedics, Doctors and Nurses, Fire Fighters, Dentists, Teachers, Lollipop People and many more!

Little Treasures in Norton near Worcester are looking for a Nursery Practitioner on a permanent full or part time basis working full day shifts (37 or 18.5/27.75 hours per week) over 5 or 2/3 days, Monday to Friday.

It is essential that applicants have:

*A relevant level 3 childcare qualification or equivalent
*An understanding of the EYFS and its principles
*Experience of working with children aged 3 months to 4 years.
*Candidates must be able to demonstrate that they are suitably experienced for the position.

November is a month with lots of different celebrations, in Toddler Room we will be looking at bonfire night with all the fireworks and bright colours, it's also Diwali the festival of lights so again to look at all things that sparkle and shine, Remembrance Sunday is the 14th of November so we will be doing craft activities about poppies, not forgetting children in need on the 19th of November, Towards the end of the month we will then take a look at the night sky with the moon and stars.
