GCSE Maths Tutor

I charge £20 per hour. I think Maths is like Marmite, people either love it or hate it. I am one of those strange people who love it! I started tutoring earlier this year and have a real passion for it. I really enjoy helping others to understand it. My background:
Up until recently I have been working as a Design Engineer which is a role I held for 17 years. I attained grade A in my Maths GCSE, I

have an A-Level in Maths and I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I started tutoring earlier this year and have worked with a range of students from year 9 pupils to a mature students resitting their GCSE Maths to enable them to access degree courses. My teaching approach:
I travel to students home's for tutoring sessions. I am very patient and will explain topics in as many different ways as required until the student understands it. I start by going over each topic, then try numerous practice questions until the student feels that they are confident. Then, we work on practice exam questions to ensure the student is fully prepared for the exam. I come to sessions well prepared and provide all of the necessary materials. Students can contact me between sessions with any specific areas they are finding difficult and I then prepare materials for our next session. I can travel to most areas in Stockport and Tameside and I have a current DBS certificate. Please feel free to message, email or call me for more details.
