Please contact me to discuss requirements. My name is Hannah and I live in Woodley with my husband and daughter who is 5. We have a lovely, secure garden which backs on to Woodford Park and we make the most of every opportunity to be outside. I have my own car and am fully insured with a clean driving licence so children benefit from outings around the local area. We regularly attend a variety of
playgroups where children can experience different settings and mix with other children. Occasionally, we also meet up with other childminders and families too which can make visits to places of interest fun, social events. Places we like to visit include: soft play, the library, local parks and woods, Wellington Country Park and several other local attractions. At home, we have a large variety of indoor toys as well as plenty of outdoor toys, including a trampoline, slide, see-saw, ride on toys and a mud kitchen, which the children love. We frequently do arts and craft activities such as drawing, painting, gluing/sticking, playdough, cooking and baking. There are also opportunities for children to rest and have quiet time, which may involve some of our indoor games or books - of which we have many! Prior to having my daughter, I was a primary school teacher and before that I worked as a TA in a special educational needs school. I also have a degree and a masters and have worked in IT, publishing and journalism. After my maternity leave, I chose to take time off from teaching to look after my daughter and later decided to register as a childminder. I am a member of the Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years (PACEY). I aim to care for other children the way I would want my children to be looked after, as I understand the challenges and worries that families can feel when it comes to allowing someone else to care for your child. I welcome visits so you can get to know me and my setting and discuss your family’s needs. If you have any questions at all or would like to arrange a visit, please do get in touch.
