FolkEast over and out for another year.
What a great time we have had.
Thank you from all of us to all who came to say hello, paint a violin, sing and play recorder with us - we hope you all enjoy continuing your musical journeys.

What a lovely time we have had at FolkEast - our biggest Violin and Vocal workshop of the weekend today.

Our first full day at FolkEast is well underway.
Violin painting workshops completed this morning followed by our Violin and Vocal happening now.
Our Recorder workshop follows that.
Excitement all round and a fun day for all so far.

A new funding opportunity for young people with specific mention of access to the Arts.

We've just launched our brand new Youth Fund for projects that support young people in East Suffolk!

Co-created with members of the East Suffolk Youth Council, the Youth Fund offers grants of between £200 and £2,000 to eligible projects.

Applications for the Youth Fund grants close on Friday 2 October.

Wow what a way to end the Suffolk Youth Orchestra tour with their magnificent Prom concert at Snape Maltings Concert Hall this evening.

The orchestra performed incredibly and the standing ovation they received at the end from the full audience said it all!

Special shout out to our leader and concerto soloist Millie who performed the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto from memory beautifully.

Well done to all performers, staff and our conductor Jasper - bravo all!🎶

SYO have landed in England and are now on their way back to Black Tiles.
ETA of 1.45am. Please can all parents park around the back of the centre and remain in your cars so as to not disturb the nearby residents.
Members will be dismissed to parents via the back entrance to the centre. We shall see you soon.

SYWB has now landed, navigated the Heathrow hurdles and is on the coach to the Black Tiles Learning Centre at Martlesham. ETA between 10.30pm and 10.45pm with good traffic and a following wind. See you all soon!
