Barnabas Pre-School is a small, sessional, pre-school which operates from Quay Church in central Woodbridge.

Barnabas Preschool starts the Autumn term with a Pop-In Morning on Wednesday 2nd September, from 10am to 12pm.
Anyone interested in finding out more about Barnabas, meeting our staff who make Barnabas Preschool such a special place for children and families, and having a look around is very welcome.
We would also love to see our new and returning families as we begin another term together.

A cold, wet day didn’t stop the warm welcome from the Woodbridge Growers at the Elmhurst Park walled garden!
The Barnabas Preschool children planted runner beans, explored the wormery, and had great fun identifying tools from the Growers’ shed. We were amazed by how much is already thriving despite the weather.
Thank you to the Woodbridge Growers for another fun, hands-on, and informative visit!

🐌 This week, the Barnabas Preschool children have been learning all about snails.
They found out that snails like dark, damp places and leave a shiny silver trail behind them as they move along. The children looked closely at the spiral shapes on snail shells before making their own snails out of clay.
They also used real empty snail shells to make patterns in the clay, pretending they were fossils. The children really enjoyed exploring the different textures and shapes.
At Barnabas Preschool we love giving children opportunities to learn through play, exploration, and hands-on activities every day.

Barnabas Preschool is looking for a Deputy Manager to join our warm and supportive team.

• Experience working with children aged 2 to 4 years old
• Passion for supporting children’s learning and development

What a wonderful World Book Day adventure for the Barnabas Preschool children!
We started the day with a trip to the Woodbridge Library to borrow some new books, followed by a visit to the Oxfam bookshop to see what treasures we could find.
Our adventure continued at Woodbridge Books, where the children and a surprise friend sat down together to listen to a story.
A huge thank you to Susie at Woodbridge Books for giving us such a warm welcome and helping make our World Book Day so special!

Thank you to Mr. Howe at the Golden Panda for the absolutely delicious Chinese lunch today. The Barnabas Preschool children really loved the noodles, egg fried rice and chinese vegetables. The prawn crackers disappeared in record time too!

Barnabas Preschool went for a visit to the Repair Cafe at St John's Church (Transition Woodbridge) . We saw a Henry being mended and a kettle too. At the sewing repair table a very friendly lady showed us how to really 'Wind the Bobbin up' and then she mended one of our favourite dressing up dresses! We enjoyed delicious fruit scones for snack and really appreciated our lovely welcome

The Barnabas Preschool children had such a lovely trip to the Woodbridge Greengrocers. Our mission was to see if we could buy a peach, a pear and a plum.
Lots of opportunity to talk about seasonal fruit as a peach was not to be found (as we already knew). We did buy Spanish plums and talked about their long journey and delicious British pears grown locally. We had a good look at the vegetables too and chatted about which we liked (or not!).

Barnabas Preschool starts off the Spring term with a 'Pop In' morning from 10 to 12 o'clock on Tuesday 6 January (usual sessions start on Wednesday 7 January). Anyone interested in looking around, as well as new and returning families, are very welcome to drop by at Quay Church.
