Wonersh Preschool will be closing in July at the end of the academic year.

After servicing the local community for many years, it has become very difficult to sustain a practical and economical provision. Low numbers of children in the village wishing to attend a term-time setting, availability of qualified childcare staff and the compulsory requirement for a Charity to elect a voluntary management committee each year, have all contributed to the closure.

As part of the closing down process, we have many items available for sale, including excellent quality preschool furniture, toys, puzzles, books, bikes, trikes and sports equipment.
Some items are available to buy now, others can be reserved for pick up in July.

A rare opportunity to join our warm and friendly community pre-school (Wonersh, Surrey).

We are looking for someone with:
- A relevant childcare qualification (Level 2 or above)
- Knowledge of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage)
- A good understanding of safeguarding / child protection procedures
- Strong communication skills, approachable, confident and a caring nature

Estimated hours: Part Time (Thurs and/or Fri 8.30/45 - 14.30) during term time. Additional hours are available if wanted.

Salary: £12.60 per hour

Start date: 7th January 2025
Contract: Temporary until end July 2025 (possible permanent position)

Story with Santa this morning as part of the 12 Days of Grantley.
