🌍🎁 Project Gambia Christmas Shoebox Appeal 2026 🎁🌍
Wombourne High School is proud to be working in partnership with St Benedict Biscop Church, Wombourne, to support Project Gambia and its incredible work improving the lives of children and families in The Gambia.
Since 2007, Project Gambia has worked alongside communities in schools, villages and farms, providing education, support and funding to help create sustainable solutions to poverty. One of the most anticipated parts of their work is the annual shipment of a 40ft container packed with essential supplies, educational resources and hundreds of Christmas shoeboxes for children in some of the poorest communities in The Gambia.
🎁 We are asking our students and families to help by filling a shoebox with the requested items and bringing it into school.
For many children, these shoeboxes may be the only gift they receive, and they bring enormous joy and excitement during the festive season.
Please see the guidance provided for the items that can be included in your shoebox and remember to label whether it is intended for a boy or girl and the appropriate age range.
📅 Deadline for all shoebox submissions: Sunday 28th September
By taking part, you will be helping to support children thousands of miles away while demonstrating the kindness, compassion and community spirit that make Wombourne High School so special.
