As the colder months approach, a reminder for families about school attendance and common childhood illnesses.

A slight cough or common cold does not usually mean your child needs to miss school if they are otherwise well. If you're unsure whether your child should attend, please contact your child's relevant Year Team for guidance.

On Friday, our Year 7 and 8 Drama students welcomed Gazebo Theatre Company for an interactive performance of Hidden Treasures, exploring African heritage, history and culture.

The performance was led by Alexia McIntosh, who has performed Anna of Cleves in the West End musical SIX. Students enjoyed the production and took part in a Q&A, discussing the themes explored and learning more about careers in the performing arts.

It was a fantastic opportunity for students to experience live theatre and gain insight into the industry.

On Friday, we celebrated European Day of Languages at Highfields, and it was a fantastic day of celebrating languages, cultures and the many ways we communicate! Our students enjoyed a special menu, took part in a whole-school quiz exploring sports personalities and the languages they speak, and got involved in lots of fun activities during their Year 7 Spanish lessons.

It was brilliant to see our students embracing different languages and discovering more about the cultures across Europe! A huge well done to everyone who got involved!

Wolverhampton Young Citizen of the Year Rotary Awards 2026

A huge congratulations to Poppy, who was selected as a finalist in this year’s Wolverhampton Young Citizen of the Year Rotary Awards! Now in their twelfth year, the awards recognise young people aged 13–18 and 19–25 who have gone the extra mile to help others or demonstrate outstanding citizenship.

Poppy was recognised alongside a fantastic group of finalists, all of whom will receive a certificate from the Mayor of Wolverhampton. We are incredibly proud of Poppy and this well-deserved recognition of her contribution to others.

Well done, Poppy!
