Charlie from SD1 planned and prepared a healthy meal, making his own jacket potato and choosing his favourite toppings. He showed fantastic confidence and independence throughout the activity, taking pride in making his own choices and preparing his meal.

Well done, Charlie! 👏💚 You should be very proud of yourself!

🔨👷‍♂️ Employability Learning in SE1! 👷‍♀️🔨

On Tuesday, Class SE1 enjoyed a fantastic employability session learning all about the role of a Site Manager.
The pupils took part in role play, built with blocks, practised hammering nails into a box and got involved in some construction activities. 🧱🔨

Emily particularly loved it when Steve came to visit — especially getting dressed up in her hard hat! 👷‍♀️😊

A fun, hands-on session helping our pupils explore different jobs and develop valuable skills along the way. 🌟

🍰💚 Cake Sale for Macmillan Cancer Support 💚🍰
Penn Hall loves getting involved in fundraising for great causes, and our students in SC3 are busy preparing for a special cake sale on Friday 25th September!
We’ll be raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support, and we’d love your help to make the day a huge success. 💚
If you’re able to donate any unopened, shop-bought cakes or biscuits for us to sell, we would be very grateful. Donations can be sent into school and given to SC3 by Friday 18th September.
Please remember that Penn Hall is a nut-aware school, so all donations must be nut-free.
Every cake, biscuit and donation will help us raise as much as possible for this fantastic cause. Thank you for supporting our students and helping them make a difference! 💚🍪🎂

📣 Penn Hall PTFA AGM – Everyone Welcome! 💙
We’d love to welcome parents, carers and friends of Penn Hall to our PTFA Annual General Meeting on:

The AGM is a chance to hear about everything the PTFA has been up to over the past year, including the Easter treats, class Easter parties and ice cream van visit for our pupils! 🍦🐣
We’ll also be talking about our fundraising plans for the year ahead, including our current aim to purchase a specialist bicycle for our Early Years pupils. 🚲💙
We’re particularly looking for someone to take on the PTFA Secretary role, as well as welcoming anyone who would like to join the committee or simply lend a hand when they can.
You don’t need any previous experience and you don’t have to attend every meeting – every bit of support, time and ideas can make a real difference to our pupils. 🌟

🌞 Celebrating Our Wonderful Summer Holiday Scheme 🌞
As another successful Holiday Scheme comes to an end, we would love to share some of the incredible moments our pupils have enjoyed over the past two weeks.
They have had two fantastic weeks—having fun and making memories in school during Week 1, followed by exciting experiences out and about during Week 2.
Pupils were given the opportunity to choose the activities they wanted to take part in, including swimming, arts and crafts, bowling, and visits to RAF Cosford, Himley Hall and Baggeridge Country Park, as well as many more exciting experiences.
The impact of the scheme goes far beyond the activities themselves. Families have told us how grateful they are for the opportunities provided and for the much-needed respite it has given them during the summer break. We are incredibly proud to have made such a positive difference to our children and their families.
The care, enthusiasm, patience and professionalism shown by staff throughout the two weeks ensured that every child felt valued, supported and able to enjoy their holiday in a safe and nurturing environment. The smiles, laughter and happy memories created are a direct result of everyone’s hard work.
We would like to say a huge thank you to all our staff who gave time during their summer break, also our incredible nursing team, the drivers from Wolverhampton Transport, and our Site, Office and Finance teams, who all helped to make the scheme possible. ❤️
One parent’s lovely message perfectly captures what the Holiday Scheme means to our families:
I'd like to say a huge thank you to all the amazing staff who gave up their time to look after Sophie during the school holiday club. Your kindness, patience, and dedication mean more than words can say. Without your support, Sophie simply wouldn't have been able to enjoy and take part in these wonderful activities.
I'd also like to thank the school for organising the holiday club. Finding activities during the school holidays that are safe, suitable, and inclusive for children like Sophie is incredibly difficult. Without the holiday club, she would have very few opportunities to get out, have fun, and spend time with her friends.
We are so grateful for everything you do. Thank you for making such a positive difference to Sophie's life and to our family. It truly means the world to us. ❤️
