We’d love to welcome parents, carers and friends of Penn Hall to our PTFA Annual General Meeting on:

The AGM is a chance to hear about everything the PTFA has been up to over the past year, including the Easter treats, class Easter parties and ice cream van visit for our pupils! 🍦🐣
We’ll also be talking about our fundraising plans for the year ahead, including our current aim to purchase a specialist bicycle for our Early Years pupils. 🚲💙
We’re particularly looking for someone to take on the PTFA Secretary role, as well as welcoming anyone who would like to join the committee or simply lend a hand when they can.
You don’t need any previous experience and you don’t have to attend every meeting – every bit of support, time and ideas can make a real difference to our pupils. 🌟

We're hiring. Amethyst Academies Trust is looking for a warm, detail-focused Finance Assistant to join our central finance team supporting our special schools.

This is a permanent, term time only plus three weeks post (37 hours per week), NJC Grade 4 (SCP 7 to 11). Your work will help ensure resources are managed with care so our pupils continue to thrive.

🌞 Celebrating Our Wonderful Summer Holiday Scheme 🌞
As another successful Holiday Scheme comes to an end, we would love to share some of the incredible moments our pupils have enjoyed over the past two weeks.
They have had two fantastic weeks—having fun and making memories in school during Week 1, followed by exciting experiences out and about during Week 2.
Pupils were given the opportunity to choose the activities they wanted to take part in, including swimming, arts and crafts, bowling, and visits to RAF Cosford, Himley Hall and Baggeridge Country Park, as well as many more exciting experiences.
The impact of the scheme goes far beyond the activities themselves. Families have told us how grateful they are for the opportunities provided and for the much-needed respite it has given them during the summer break. We are incredibly proud to have made such a positive difference to our children and their families.
The care, enthusiasm, patience and professionalism shown by staff throughout the two weeks ensured that every child felt valued, supported and able to enjoy their holiday in a safe and nurturing environment. The smiles, laughter and happy memories created are a direct result of everyone’s hard work.
We would like to say a huge thank you to all our staff who gave time during their summer break, also our incredible nursing team, the drivers from Wolverhampton Transport, and our Site, Office and Finance teams, who all helped to make the scheme possible. ❤️
One parent’s lovely message perfectly captures what the Holiday Scheme means to our families:
I'd like to say a huge thank you to all the amazing staff who gave up their time to look after Sophie during the school holiday club. Your kindness, patience, and dedication mean more than words can say. Without your support, Sophie simply wouldn't have been able to enjoy and take part in these wonderful activities.
I'd also like to thank the school for organising the holiday club. Finding activities during the school holidays that are safe, suitable, and inclusive for children like Sophie is incredibly difficult. Without the holiday club, she would have very few opportunities to get out, have fun, and spend time with her friends.
We are so grateful for everything you do. Thank you for making such a positive difference to Sophie's life and to our family. It truly means the world to us. ❤️

"I had hoped to share these words on the school's page, but I wasn't able to.

So, with your kind permission, I would like to share them here instead.

Good evening everyone - our wonderful teachers, staff, students, and parents.

I have wanted to write these words for a long time, but I have always found it difficult to express what is truly in my heart.

My daughter, Hameeda, started her journey at Penn Hall School when she was just three years old. For the past 16 years, the school has been such an important part of her life. It has been her second home, and everyone there - teachers, nurses, physiotherapists, teaching assistants, support staff, and students - became her second family.

As the end of her final school year approached, Hameeda often spoke about how much she would miss her friends and everyone at school. That alone shows how loved, safe, and happy she has always felt with you.

As a parent, I have also received nothing but kindness, respect, encouragement, and support from all of you. No matter how many words I write, they will never be enough to express my gratitude or to thank you for everything you have done for us over the years.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to the entire Penn Hall School family. Throughout these sixteen years, I always felt complete peace of mind knowing that Hameeda was in such caring and loving hands. You have given her care, compassion, friendship, encouragement, and opportunities to grow, and those gifts will stay with her forever.

To every teacher, nurse, physiotherapist, teaching assistant, member of staff, and every student who shared this journey with Hameeda - thank you. Your kindness has made a lasting difference to our lives.

May God bless each and every one of you and reward you for the incredible work you do every day.

🎉 PTFA Raffle Drawn! 🎉

Our PTFA raffle was drawn today with the help of Jenny, Amellia and Sophie – thank you for your assistance! 👏

We’re delighted to share that, thanks to your amazing support, the raffle has raised £186 for our school. 💙

As a special end-of-term treat, our wonderful PTFA have arranged for an ice cream van to visit, so our students can enjoy a delicious cool treat! 🍦😋

Mitchell from SD3 has done some fantastic independent work in English, using speech marks and creating his own dialogue for characters in Macbeth. Without any prompting, Mitchell confidently explained to staff what he wanted each character to say and showed a great understanding of where speech marks and punctuation were needed. Well done, Mitchell!
